Been rewatching the previous seasons over the past month. There's really hardly a wasted moment in the first two seasons. Dialogue and circular gags are some of the best in any series ever.

I just saw her and Oscar Isaac in a play in New York and for the first 20 minutes she's in her underwear. Since it was a play I can talk about how amazing they are and it's classy.

I know I'm late to the party on this one, but did finally watch the Pilot based on this thread (more probably for the bewbs than the show). Thought it was good, wife loved it. So kept watching with her for her benefit. We just powered through season 1 and freaking love this show. Breathe of fresh air.

Susie being misgendered randomly is probably one of my favorite running gags. There's a courtroom scene in S1 where the judge yells at her to "sit down, young man!" and I nearly fell off the couch because I couldn't stop laughing.

I'm interested in how they choose to wrap up Midge's story. Been rewatching and S2 and 3 really lay on the theme that you can't have it all and truly be happy. That artist and Lenny both serve to illustrate that fame and happiness often don't accompany each other. I wonder if they go dark and let her hit it big but take significant personal losses along the way or if they stay lighter and she gets to be different than others and find success but also keep her friends and family close. Or if she gives up the dream to keep relationships intact. Really excited about this concluding season.

Well, after watching the first three episodes, we know where they went. The departure from the previous seasons in how they structure the episodes with the flashbacks seems off to me. It feels kind of like we're being cheated because we know where things kind of end up before the rest of the episode, but I guess they were stuck with it because of the time constraints of a single season. For the life of me I can't figure out why this is the last season of this show. It was really good and should have had 7-8 seasons. Sucks for Midge that she chose the fame and seems to have lost everything else.

I HATE the flash forwards. It's a bold choice but I don't need to know how everything shakes out.

Agree re: flash forwards
Dont like them either but it is funny hearing the kids talk about how great their childhood was, then cut back to their reality in the 60s.

I have a tough time believing the entire staff of the Gordon Ford show would not be in love with her after 4 weeks in that office. It would not take that long for her to both charm them and make it clear she's the funniest person there.

Was nice seeing the ice finally broken b/w Susie and Mike (the producer).

Love this show and don't want it to end. Agree with others in that the flash forwards are my least favorite part, though I do appreciate that we now know she did make it big. Would have rather watched it unfold "real time", but at the same time I feared they'd end the whole thing having us believe she never broke thru despite all her talents.
