I think the jersey scene is better, but, to each his own.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.

So many greats already listed. I don't think I've seen these mentioned:

Apollo 13 - The launch sequence.

The Untouchables - Union Station steps shootout.

The Right Stuff - Yeager attempts the altitude record in NF-104. "Is that a man?"

Places In The Heart - Final communion scene. "Peace of God."

Top Gun - "Launch Maverick on Alert Five." The roll on climb out still gets me.

Modified to be top 5 that haven't been mentioned yet-

1. Hunt for Red October is my favorite movie. Favorite scene- Briefing for Jeffery Pelt. All the way from "Who's giving the briefing?" to "I'm a politician- which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lollipops. But, it also means I keep my options open..."

2. Finding Forrester - When Forrester shows up at the end and reads a contest entry for Jamal. "I didn't write these words. Jamal Wallace did."

3. Count of Monte Cristo (2002) - Final showdown between Dantes and Mondego. "You know I can't live in a world where you have everything and I have nothing."

4. Ghostbusters - Gozer and Stay-Puft. "When someone asks you if you're a god, you say yes!" "What did you do, Ray?" "Nobody steps on a church in my town" "Cross the streams, cross the streams"

5. Quiz Show - Van Doren confesses to his dad. Dad: "Your name is my name"

Definitely worth a watch. Reflection on life and how quicky it passes. It won an Oscar for best foreign film long ago.

Agree. One of the most whip-ass scenes from an all time whip-ass movie. The slow reveal of the queen and the origin of all the mayhem, the menacing sentries, Ripley going ham and then culminating with Bishop showing up when all hope is lost -- incredible.

There was nothing good about this movie. In fact, this movie is only famous for how not-good it is.

1987 - La Bamba. Final scene set to "Sleepwalk" by Santo & Johnny. Still gets to me after all these years…

I've always wondered if that's how Ritchie Valens's family found out. From the news report. Because that's f-ed up if it is.

Pretty incredible how the CGI made San Francisco look like a pleasant place and not an unlivable hellscape.

SIAP, but this "Out of Time" sequence in "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood" (really starts around 45 sec mark) is so perfectly done, it might be my favorite movie scene of all time. Certainly up at the top.

I watch this movie probably once a month...wife liked the movie but thinks I'm crazy for liking it so much. It's like mainlining nostalgia right into my veins. And I'm an 80's kid.

I don't know if it's top 5, but was literally the first one that popped in my head (maybe because I watched it a few weeks ago with my kids).

The scene in miracle after they have that crap game in Norway and he makes them skate sprints over and over. It's a drawn out scene that seems to go on forever with no purpose until Eruzioni shouts out "Michael Eruzioni. Winthrop Massachusetts. I play for the United States of America."

"That'll be all gentlemen."

Chills. Love that scene.

So living in Minnesota, Herb Brooks is a god and every youth hockey coach tries to emulate him. My wife and I cracked up at this scene. We'll casually drop "Again!" during a soccer training session with our U13 squad.
