No love for a Fletch?!? This list is pointless….
Definitely worth a watch. Reflection on life and how quicky it passes. It won an Oscar for best foreign film long ago.maroon barchetta said:
Never even heard of Cinema Paradiso
Agree. One of the most whip-ass scenes from an all time whip-ass movie. The slow reveal of the queen and the origin of all the mayhem, the menacing sentries, Ripley going ham and then culminating with Bishop showing up when all hope is lost -- incredible.texsn95 said:

There was nothing good about this movie. In fact, this movie is only famous for how not-good it is.Complete Idiot said:

I've always wondered if that's how Ritchie Valens's family found out. From the news report. Because that's f-ed up if it is.txagman1998 said:
1987 - La Bamba. Final scene set to "Sleepwalk" by Santo & Johnny. Still gets to me after all these years…
Pretty incredible how the CGI made San Francisco look like a pleasant place and not an unlivable hellscape.AggieUSMC said:There was nothing good about this movie. In fact, this movie is only famous for how not-good it is.Complete Idiot said:

I don't know if it's top 5, but was literally the first one that popped in my head (maybe because I watched it a few weeks ago with my kids).
The scene in miracle after they have that crap game in Norway and he makes them skate sprints over and over. It's a drawn out scene that seems to go on forever with no purpose until Eruzioni shouts out "Michael Eruzioni. Winthrop Massachusetts. I play for the United States of America."
"That'll be all gentlemen."
Chills. Love that scene.
I too was surprised these scenes were not page one.wcb said:
