If you spent as much time going after other movie industry predators as you did Ballard we'd probably consider you to be as virtuous as you are in your own head. How many times have you talked about headland in the acolyte working for Weinstein as his personal assistant? As many times as you said, 'but Russian doll'?

People who liked the film are also against sexual assault: it's more of a circle than a ven diagram. We're all glad he's being brought to justice. We're also glad more people are interested in fighting trafficking. We don't have to pick.

I didn't single out Ballard and "go after him" and him alone, out the blue. This thread was started last summer, when the movie came out, with poster after poster championing the guy, and all I (and a few others) did was say that y'all might not want to put all your eggs in his and Caviezel's basket, as they both seem to have some screws loose and maybe even some skeletons in their closet. Little did I know, all hell would break loose, and I was suddenly treated as if I had just started a child pornography ring myself. It was bat**** insane, and the fact that you still can't call out those guys for the horribly vile things they said, or that you think I'm somehow the bad guy here, says everything I need to know about you.

Not to mention, my Weinstein opinions/interactions have been well documented on this board, and I've gone after plenty of other pieces of **** in Hollywood as well. Apologies for not DMing you, specifically, with those opinions, but it's not my fault if you haven't seen them, and I honestly couldn't care less whether you have or not.

You look back at the beginning of the thread and think that's a good summary of your posts? You got specific pushback saying, who cares if it brings awareness to a real issue and your responses were to worry about other things that may or may not have been in a movie you didn't see and then, instead of just bowing out, continue to post. How hurt was your pride that you're here a year later looking for an apology?

First of all... a TON of posts were deleted by staff. Like, quite possibly a record number for a thread on this site, so there's all kinds of missing context.

Secondly... the character of the person performing the act/delivering the message ABSOLUTELY matters. It's not just about their actions. Did Ballard do great things? Yes! And I acknowledged as much over and over again. But he and Caviezel's... extracurricular activities, their beliefs, their bat**** insane interviews... undeniably tarnished their actions/message, and kept the movie from reaching an even larger audience. That's inarguable, and the main point I was trying to make.

Finally... posters here literally threatened me. Some even implied they were going to find me. All the while calling me a pedophile countless times, saying that I was involved in Hollywood child pornography rings, in league with Harvey Weinstein... the whole nine yards. It was one of the most insane things I've ever seen on this site, to the point where I was genuinely fearful one of those nuts was going to show up at my house. Again, the fact that you can so nonchalantly brush over that, and excuse/ignore such abhorrent behavior, by reducing it to my "pride" being hurt or whatever, says EVERYTHING I need to know about your character.

So to be clear, you're greenlighting every thread in this forum to be derailed by the slightest allegation of poor character by someone involved in production? Like if I pop over to the acolyte and say headland was complicit in covering up weinstein's behavior, your response will naturally be that everyone should ditch Disney+ and not watch russian doll?

Seriously step back and ask yourself if you're not being just a bit shortsighted with what you've said. Your ego needs to stop worrying about this forum. Post your take and disappear instead of arguing for pages. You'll be a lot less stressed and stay out of stuff like what you've experienced.
