My takeaway from the documentary is that Kliff Kingsbury looks like ****. Hell, it's only been 10-11 years. He looks rough.

Can't believe it's been 11 years since the 2012 season, still feels like it was yesterday despite how much has changed around BCS since then, in large part due to the money and popularity influx from Johnny.
I thought Kliff's comments throughout the whole thing really highlighted the atmosphere around Johnny and college sports in general. That man quickly understood he had one shot to let Johnny be Johnny and it was gonna lead to him getting a promotion to a head coaching job, and Sumlin was going to have to deal with the aftermath at A&M. Just like how A&M knew, that combined with the influx of coming SEC money, this was their chance to upgrade A&M athletics to a top tier level (at least in terms of money and facilities).
Hearing Uncle Nate's side of the story for the first time was hilarious. Amazing that a couple drunk 20 year olds duped the whole media world into believing Johnny came from some oil mega money family.
Knowing more about what was really happening with Uncle Nate and the autograph signing money really makes me wonder what would've happened if Johnny had NIL. I got the sense that since he was making NO money he went full speed the opposite direction to make as much as he possibly could by any means necessary. Maybe he wouldn't have been so hell bent on being a money making bad boy if he was making "official" money through the #2 jersey sales, sponsor deals, etc.
If you had told me in August of 2012 TexAgs and Looch would be on Netflix I would've laughed my ass off…still am laughing, Looch was great in his interview
I know another 8-4 football season is coming, and I'm ready to be hurt again
Kliff looked a lot rougher in the documentary than he did on the NFL sidelines the past few years.AJ02 said:

I remember in the ?early 00s? MTV did a reality show with A&M students. Just knew it would be a huge recruiting tool showing how redass A&M was to the world.
Instead they emptied the clown car of students who were morons.
Lol, from Sam Khan's Athletic article on his perspective watching the doc as a beat writer covering us at the time:Quote:
-piss test drama at the combine / the 4th string QB used to pee for him /

I'm suddenly wondering if Conner McQueen's phone has blown up in the last two days.
Wife and I watched the game at the Lauberge Casino bar in Lake Chuck. I have never felt so positive and excited after a loss in my life. Some other Ags were watching it with us and they seemed to share the sentiment. Maybe the expectation by many that we would get crushed our first year in the SEC had something to do with it...as we stood toe to toe with FL and very easily could have won that game. But getting a glimpse of Johnny's magic definitely helped.cbr said:
the very first third and long in the florida game and i was extremely stunned and excited. that was the fastest 16 yards i had ever seen covered in my life, and you could tell the UF guys were looking around thinking the same thing.
then the TD that barely got called back and i knew we had something beyond special.
i came home and told my wife about it, predicting that he would be the best QB A&M had ever had, and that it would not be close.
she secretly went out and bought a signed football... still to this day the only signed sports anything i've ever owned. My birthday gift, saving up for my birthday.... aaaaaaand that came around right about Heisman night.
I thought the same, his arms looked jacked though. My guess would be testosterone injections (or other steroid) and lots of lifting...combined with party lifestyle. A lot of juicers in the gym get that red puffy face that looks like it's about to explode.ea1060 said:Kliff looked a lot rougher in the documentary than he did on the NFL sidelines the past few years.AJ02 said:

one of the many things left out is the double standard... manziel was far from the only autograph signer... in fact, any significant star athlete was in that biz.
I had a return flight from Nola one time right as everyone was leaving the Manning passing academy. I remember seeing Patrick Mahomes with a tech backpack around the luggage check area and recognized him but only thought was "stockier guy than I realized." It was before he really blew up but he'd done enough I recognized him fairly quickly.Ag_07 said:BudFox7 said:

Sports memorabilia industry is crazy popular, very lucrative, and shady AF.
That's actually an Untold doc that would be great.
What a weird, dull video.TCTTS said:

He is the most annoying personality of all time. Yes, that means he beats out Stephen A and Jim Rome, if that's even possible. Cannot stand this pompous arrogant ***** (who has no real right to be).Brittmoore Car Club said:TCTTS said:
