If there is anything that I would absolutely believe about Angela, its that she would knock that cap off his head so fast he'd be in concussion protocol before they said grace.

I've been catching up. Thoughts so far:

1) I miss Michael Pena. They really messed up by killing him off.
2) Every time they are near any equipment, I wonder who is about to die/mess up.
3) They are really going out of their way to make Ariana more sexy
4) I know we bag on Angela and Ainsley a lot, but IN ANGELA'S DEFENSE, any man telling a woman that she shouldn't make a decision on her period, deserves to have an epic throwdown launched their way and I laughed really hard at that scene. She's right, he's a total dick to her about that and he exacerbates it. Also I think they are kinda hilarious and have gotten a little better this season so far. Angela gets a ton of grief, but she shows she cares by trying to take care of the people around her when you strip away the crazy. I wouldn't mind her cooking for me based on the show!
5) Dale is my favorite character with Nate as a close second, if they actually move to Fort Worth and we miss out on those two, I'll be very sad.
6) this is a coming of age story for Cooper... seems like he's never had a girlfriend ever before now? but seriously, I would love for a scene where his new girlfriend who can tell him to do anything to make him shave his stupid chin.
7) The whole TCU bit was hilarious. phenomenal. sorry, Ainsley's determination to always be positive is fun. Also, a 29 on the ACT is pretty decent and top 10% in a school Aledo's size is also not bad, so she's not actually super stupid. I would kill for her hair though. and her training all the time makes sense, she's does everything full steam.
8) Sam Elliot's character is a big meh so far. I hope they do something with him, cause right now he feels just like extra furniture
9) I am worried that the gallino thing is going to make this into a cartel show. I like Demi's character..I felt bad wishing they spent less time on her grieving, but some of those shots could have been slightly shorter. I also dont believe for a second she wouldn't find out what tommie's opinion on the guy was before trying to get into bed with him for financing. They are trying to paint her as shrewd...shrewd means knowing when to lean on experts and Tommie clearly had reservations about that guy. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Demi and Angela.
10) Rebekah annoys me in a way.. no flaws, she's going to get in over her head soon, I assume with the scheduling of the drilling or maybe she screwed the wrong guy with the whole flight thing...who manages to have shower aromatherapy and an accent? he's not just an oil rig guy.


I'm enjoying it mostly.

I've never pissed on a rattlesnake, but I've had one make me piss on myself.

Working in communications, I went to our tower site in Wickett (Monahans) to check out our paging transmitter. Had been driving for a while, and my back teeth were floating. Got out of the truck and started to relieve myself on the corner of the tower shack. Midway through I hear the rattle. Damn thing was about a yard away, curled up under the steps to the building. I think I jumped about 10 feet. Sucker looked like he was as big around as my forearm (the snake).

"Can I have a taco now?"

Did anyone else catch the dick shot in the hotel room??? I noticed the boner, but not the outright dick shot until my husband made me rewind and see if he definitely saw what he thought he saw.

I REALLY could've done without that.

Finally watched the latest one last night. It occured to me how valuable Andy Garcia has become on this show. My working theory is that he can't become "evil" now, he's trying to go legit & all of that. Moreover, he and BBT are anchoring the show.

I think the opposite. Maybe I watch too many Mafia movies, but I think he's finding a way to get the company attached at the hip to him so he can take over a legitimate company. I don't think they write the evil out of him. I don't know what the ultimate endgame between him and Billy Bob looks like though.

All I know is that had I not paid attention to the credits listing the cast, I would have never recognized that guy as Andy Garcia. I must be stuck in the early 90s, thinking of him from his roles in Black Rain and The Godfather Part III.

It's gotten so silly it's hard to watch.

And his son wouldn't have a chance in hell with that hottie, in any universe.

I had SUCH a crush on him back in the day. So sad what time does to all of us.

I will be one of the dissenters and say I enjoy wife and daughter scenes. I can take it or leave it with Cooper but I really enjoyed his stuff with the contracts and want to see him working under his dad
