With strong momentum & Easter boost, #SINNERS will challenge industry projections at US #BoxOffice!#RyanCoogler’s R-rated action horror starring #MichaelBJordan grossed strong 4.7M on #2 BIGGEST THU Previews for Original horrors, only under #Nope’s 6.7M.

Dude, just. chill out. I don't care who makes a movie. As long as it's good, I couldn't care less. What drives me nuts is constant harping and force feeding some particular subject. I am interested in this movie because it looks good. My interested is kept and increased because it's a Ryan Coogler movie. But that is because he is a known, proven commodity, not because he is black.

As always, more on that later when final numbers arrive, but #SINNERS is challenging #NOPE for the title of biggest FRI Opening Day for an Original horror Post-COVID at US #BoxOffice.

The difference is how things will go from here. With mixed WOM out of FRI, NOPE saw nosedive for… pic.twitter.com/j3hwZNkht1

I definitely wouldn't put this in conversation for "best film of the decade" so far, re: the Rotten Tomatoes scores tweet I posted above. The plot takes a while to lock in, the third act is over a little too quickly, and I wish a couple things here and there would have been explained/underlined a little better.
That said…
You've never seen anything remotely like this, the music is incredible (especially THAT oner scene), the cinematography is stunning, and our audience broke out into applause FOUR TIMES (twice during the movie itself, once at the end, and then a final time after the post-credit scene, which is more crucial than any Marvel post-credit scene, btw). Everyone in attendance seemed to love it, and man is it a fun watch with a big, packed, passionate crowd.
Not to mention, as Spilner already said, Miles Caton is a star in the making... while Delroy Lindo steals the show, and Hailee Steinfeld… my god. As good as she's been at times, she's going to blow up after this.
Overall, it's been a while since I've seen a big, event movie, and tonight checked every box I could possibly want in that regard. What a great pre-kick-off to the summer too. Nearly every big trailer for every big summer movie played beforehand, almost every one was met with cheers, and it just felt so damn good to be back.
I cannot wait for the next three months.

The first one starts maybe 30 seconds after the movie ends, if that. In fact, there's video playing while the main credits roll, and that video leads directly to the first "end credit" scene, which is incredibly crucial to the movie itself. To the point where it's basically the *actual* ending of the movie.
That said, we didn't stay for the second end credit scene and I still have no idea what it is.
You're trolling, as you always are. But I'll play. How do you want "us" to do better? Bc "we"are apparently throwing unnecessary bags at people, and this movie shouldn't have cost $90M+.Quote:
