All I know is that Cruise apparently DIDN'T want to market this one as the "final" anything, but Paramount DID. Paramount felt that if they treated the movie as more of an Endgame-type event, it could make more money, which they desperately need it to do, considering the budget is reportedly a whopping $350M or more, and the last one underperformed due to stupidly releasing it the weekend before Barbenheimer. Regardless, the fact that there was even a discussion tells me that Cruise likely lives. I'm sure there's a "finality" to it of some sort - maybe Ethan finally, truly "retires" or something - but I would be surprised if they actually kill him off. As for his team, though? I wouldn't be shocked at all if we lose a cherished cast member or two.

Yep.

There's also not a lot of Benji in the latest trailer, and I fear what that might mean.

To that end, I could see either one of them not making it out alive. And man, if/whichever one of them goes, it's going to be legit emotional.

It's a great interview. I'm pretty sure it's the first and only podcast he's ever done. Talks about why he's avoided conventions/reunions up until now.

Kids and I have been doing a rewatch of all the MI's.
1. Classic
2. Eh, forgettable. I remember the hype and loving it when it came out, Metallica doing the intro etc. but is just not as cool as the others
3-6 setting the stage in intensity and awesomeness

Tickets acquired.

I don't know if my theater jumped the gun by half a day or what, but I just now opened my browser to the page/date for the Chinese Theater IMAX, as a reminder to refresh it in the morning, and was already able to purchase six tickets for Saturday the 24th. Best seats in the house too!

I went to See top gun Maverick in the movie theater IMAX twice on opening weekend and another time a week or two later - that was a phenomenal move

It's great to watch it at home, but there is something special about the big theater - easy move to make!!

Yeah. I live in Germany so premiere dates differ a little. Sometimes it works out in this way, other times I have to wait an extra two months to see something like A Complete Unknown.

But usually the dates are quite similar. For example, on Thursday I'll be seeing The Accountant 2 (aka Der Steuerberater Zwei).
