I'd like to propose a rule change retroactive for the entire game. For those that had Dee they should be awarded half a point for each night she shows up on the jury.

She continues her smoke show ways!!

As an older dude, I definitely noticed how fine Stephenie looked at the jury, but no disagreement here. I think of the moment in Ocean's 11 when they have Linus tailing Andy Garcia and he says "then comes just the best part of my day" when Julia Roberts comes up the elevator.

The best moment of every episode is consistently Dee arriving at Tribal Council. And her instagram ain't too bad either.

After reading Dalton Ross's Survivor recap on EW.com, I went back and watched the end of the Immunity challenge last night and I gotta tell you, I think Tiff was definitely trying to cheat.

If you have it DVRed or on streaming, I would definitely recommend rewatching the end. There are 3 different shots that she's in the background where everyone else already has their foot up and she has both of hers firmly on the platform, but is waving her arms in big circles to look like she's losing her balance, just like everyone else.

Definitely not a case of "I took an extra second to start", she only lifts her foot when Jonathan is spiraling into the water.

And kudos to Texags for automatically flagging the picture of Dee in a bikini from her Instagram.

I don't know if she was *trying to*, per se...

I could see it being something like, she got caught up in her mind and was trying to move into position. I feel like there is probably a lot going through your head in an event like that, and you just don't realize you're not actually doing it.

Or maybe she just thought she would get away with it. Either way, what an immunity win to lose out on...

So I am a Survivor newbie but my wife loves the show. I am hooked. Pretty freakin fun. Curious the boards' thoughts on Rizo's play last night by not telling Ozzy. I get the thought process. He finds out that Ozzy and Cirie have a pact, he's hurt and wants to become Cirie's ride or die. But, Cirie ain't gonna be happy here. In my opinion, the smarter play would have been to work to get Joe out. He had an opportunity to get Ozzy to play the idol and get that out of the way while eliminating a big threat. Knocks out 2 birds in one night that way. Get Jonathan, Aubry, and Joe to think they are blindsiding Ozzy, tell Ozzy to play the idol, Rizo and Ozzy vote Joe. Gets an idol off the table, Joe is gone, Cirie is happy, and Rizo then has the opportunity next week or the week after to focus on Ozzy and partner up with Jonathan or Tiff or someone to start working to get the other threats out. I get wanting to get Ozzy out given his connection to Cirie and his ability in challenges, but I think there could have been more opportunity long term with blindsiding Joe, who can't strategize or keep his mouth shut to save his life.

I was really surprised. It still seems like no one knows the depths of Rizo's involvement with that alliance so I really can't understand why he'd want to break it up at this point. Ozzy talking too much yesterday signed his ticket to the jury, but if Rizo was more loyal then he would get someone else out, with a high likelihood that Ozzy goes next anyways. and it would keep Cirie happy

I think you made a lot of great points, but I also think at this point, everyone left knows they can beat Joe on a jury vote. The only person who might vote for his "playing the game the right way" mentality on the jury is Coach.

Both seasons he's been on, once Rizo stops running his mouth, you see that he is a phenomenal strategist, I'd go as far as saying one of the best of all time on the show. He has virtually no shot at ever winning immunity, but he is rarely in danger at tribal. Plus, he was on Season 49 and is still around. Savannah - albeit a winner - was gone 2-3 episodes in.

I think his main reason for not telling Ozzy was that if he did that, Jonathan and Aubry, two of the players still in the game really trying to control the narrative, both don't trust you. And seeing as you also have an idol, that's bad news for you.

I think I said this a couple of weeks ago, but it's funny how quickly I get the "pit of my stomach" feeling in episodes when one of my people is in danger, even though we know logically there's only one winner.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I thought Rizo's decision last night was brilliant.

  • Ozzy has an idol and is a threat to win immunity.
  • Ozzy tells everyone about his "ride or die" alliance (talks too much), and says it's him and Cirie (Rizo wasn't included). This may have been awesome editing on the show's part but not including Rizo in that revealed that Ozzy and Cirie were closer and Rizo was the third wheel, with Rizo hearing that from Aubry.
  • Cirie is elsewhere and can't get Ozzy's story directly from him.
  • Rizo can now tell Cirie that Ozzy was talking like crazy and putting them all at risk. Or he can tell Cirie that he told Ozzy to play it but he didn't. He can almost tell her anything he wants.
  • In the meantime, he endeared himself to Jonathan and Aubry and Joe and allowed him to squarely land in the middle between the groups that are still out there, all while retaining his own idol.
So it went from 3 idols floating to now Rizo is the only one that has one, major threat to win immunity is out, a new alliance is at least open to his inclusion, and he now seems to be running things rather than Cirie.

I think he absolutely nailed it last night.

Man, Ozzy was so bitter at the end. Everything in that guy's intuition was telling him to play his idol and he didn't. If he HAD played it, he would have figured out that Rizo was playing both sides with the 4 votes coming out against him and he might have been able to flip the script back on him. But he was too naive again.

Aren't dreams widely considered a window into your subconscious? How Ozzy could ignore his intuition and not play his idol when there's $2M on the line is beyond me.

Rizzo is quickly becoming one of my favorite new era survivors. Yeah the rizgod stuff he plays for the camera is very little how he actually acts around the players and it endears him to them

Ozzy just confirmed that he is the same player that he has always been despite believing that he had grown. Great physical player and challenge threat but terrible at game strategy. Some things never change ...

I think that's a bit of an overstatement. He's always been strategic, just maybe not... socially aware? 2nd episode he was ever on, they throw a challenge to vote out a liability. Maybe the first time that had ever happened in the game (can't remember, 2nd or 3rd at worst). He had the plan in his 3rd season to get voted out, go to Redemption Island, win his way back, and his tribe keeps the numbers. Things like that. He's not savvy, necessarily, but he's a gamer.

Weird that his takeaway from previous seasons is that he needed to trust people. In this era, at final 8, you can't have a ride-or-die alliance with Cirie and trust Joe and whoever else he said with your life. That's being too trusting. It's a tribe full of predators and you know you've been a target in the past.

Maybe the best way to put it is not seeing the forest for the trees. Jury management at final 8, in this day and age, by telling your whole plan to a 4-time player who is going to fight like hell to stay alive? You're kinda smart, but sometimes you're dumb as hell.

Cirie is fascinating because you never see her walk over and talk to anyone, they're always coming to her.

Last night, Emily and Rick took a great shot at her and missed. Emily got whacked immediately and unless Rick pulls another idol out of his ass or somehow wins Immunity, he seems done next week. He's got nobody left to vote with him.

That would leave:

Rizzo/Cirie alliance
Jonathan/Joe alliance even though Joe is a moron
Joe/Tiff secret alliance
Jonathan/Aubry secret alliance
Cirie/Tiff I guess this is an alliance because we're both black females.
Devens on an island

Maybe Jonathan and Aubry rally Tiff, Joe, and Devens to get Cirie out? Or they take Devens out and can still get Cirie at 6?

Aubry making a move with Jonathan feels like it really gave her some momentum.

Cirie is no longer a threat to win. Her only hope was that Ozzy would bring her to the end. He was really dumb enough to do that it seems but I don't think anyone else is. Smart play is to use her to get to 4 then beat her in a fire challenge.

Glad to see Ozzy out. I never liked his personality, and that sad bitterness at the end of tribal proved it.

At this point I'm rooting for Rizo, but I think he has to backstab Cirie and get her out because I don't think he can beat her in the final three.

Voted out with an idol in his pocket. He played "better." Aligning with Cirie was his smartest move.

His speech to Aubry was a cringe-worthy jury management attempt and she saw right through it.

Now I kind of wish Ozzy has played his idol just for the drama of seeing him crash out/do damage control.

Although I don't think Cirie wins in fire, I don't think there is a chance anyone gives her that shot. If she by chance wins, she is an auto winner. Gotta take her out before then.

I agree that no one wants her in the final 3. But there are other threats who could get in above her, that would also be big threats to win. Jonathan, Devens, Aubry, Tiffany. I don't think Joe is really a threat to win because no one likes his gameplay. I think Rizzo is definitely a threat to win, but I don't think anyone on that beach sees him that way. Cirie is a threat, and I think people will try to get her out, but I just think there is no way for her to get to 3, so she'd be a great ally to pull to 4 and then she essentially gets out clean and can work her magic for you on the jury.

ALSO -- if you are going to 4 knowing you may have to make fire against someone, who out of the remaining players would you choose to go against to make fire? Cirie is my pick.

Cirie should have spent the last several years making fire at home.

Over and over and over again.

If she hasn't, welp that's on her.

Didn't Rizo lose the fire challenge on 49? He must have because he wasn't in the final 3. Is there any chance he worked on it in the 2 weeks after 49 and before 50? It seems like he might be on a Russel Hantz trajectory of getting to the end and going out at the same place or the same reason.

Maybe you would, but I'm not so sure about R-I-Z-G-O-D BABY!

This might sound petty, but it really annoyed me how many of the players made a comment this week similar to "Now that the prize is $2 million, I'm really going for it." Like, what? $1 million wasn't enough to get you fired up?

Yes, Savannah beat Rizo at fire-making to earn top three. He finished 4th.

Cirie lost two fire challenges in Australian Survivor. One was real close, one was an all-time stinker. But I agree that even giving her that chance is very risky.

If they're sitting there at the end, I feel like the best shots to win would be:

Devens (he's had a lot of heat, had to make plays to stay alive)
Cirie (godmother, controlling the game behind the scenes)
Rizo
Aubrey
Jonathan (probably no respect for moves he's made, grumpy attitude at times or at least the perception)
Tiff (good game, horrible edit so I gotta assume she doesn't make it)
Joe is dead last, 0% chance to win.

But you do have to look at the jury. Dee probably likes social/strategy, Coach want honor and integrity, Steph is old school, Christian probably strategy, Emily strategy, Ozzy may just be butthurt.
CharleyKerfeld
How long do you want to ignore this user?
My final tribal speech would be directed entirely at Dee, professing my undying love for her and offering to split the $2 million with her if she'll pretend to be my girlfriend from time to time for the next 12 months when I'm around people that I want to show up.
