At least I got to stare at her uncomfortably for 3-4 hours a week. Win-win, other than for Dee of course.

Cirie lost two fire challenges in Australian Survivor. One was real close, one was an all-time stinker. But I agree that even giving her that chance is very risky.

If they're sitting there at the end, I feel like the best shots to win would be:

Devens (he's had a lot of heat, had to make plays to stay alive)
Cirie (godmother, controlling the game behind the scenes)
Rizo
Aubrey
Jonathan (probably no respect for moves he's made, grumpy attitude at times or at least the perception)
Tiff (good game, horrible edit so I gotta assume she doesn't make it)
Joe is dead last, 0% chance to win.

But you do have to look at the jury. Dee probably likes social/strategy, Coach want honor and integrity, Steph is old school, Christian probably strategy, Emily strategy, Ozzy may just be butthurt.

A final tribal with Cirie & Devens would be an all timer

Burning questions:

If Devens makes the final 3, is Joe's question just going to be to punch Devens in the face?

Would it have been the greatest/cruelest thing ever if Aubry had done some jury management on Ozzy while hugging him after voting him out?

Could Joe get a vote in any combination of Final 3?

Why can't I get enough of this gif? Joe looks like he's doing an audition for a stunt man, meanwhile Tiff just casually on both feet in the background until the very end.

So I am a Survivor newbie but my wife loves the show. I am hooked. Pretty freakin fun. Curious the boards' thoughts on Rizo's play last night by not telling Ozzy. I get the thought process. He finds out that Ozzy and Cirie have a pact, he's hurt and wants to become Cirie's ride or die. But, Cirie ain't gonna be happy here. In my opinion, the smarter play would have been to work to get Joe out. He had an opportunity to get Ozzy to play the idol and get that out of the way while eliminating a big threat. Knocks out 2 birds in one night that way. Get Jonathan, Aubry, and Joe to think they are blindsiding Ozzy, tell Ozzy to play the idol, Rizo and Ozzy vote Joe. Gets an idol off the table, Joe is gone, Cirie is happy, and Rizo then has the opportunity next week or the week after to focus on Ozzy and partner up with Jonathan or Tiff or someone to start working to get the other threats out. I get wanting to get Ozzy out given his connection to Cirie and his ability in challenges, but I think there could have been more opportunity long term with blindsiding Joe, who can't strategize or keep his mouth shut to save his life.

I think Rizzo had 2 options:

Tell Ozzie and let him know he was voting against him as a smoke screen so they can continue to work together in secret and let Ozzie pick the target. Then he continues to be a 3rd wheel with an idol and a chance to make a big move and sit next to either Ozzy/Cirie at end.

Keep his mouth shut, vote against Ozzie and become Cirie's #1. Try to cut her at 5 and be the king/queen slayer and have a real chance to win.

I would see his path as getting out Devens, Jonathan, Cirie, and sit next to some combination of Joe, Aubrey, Tiff. I think the path forward with Ozzy was too narrow for him. Getting ozzy and cirie both out before fire would be difficult IMO and Rizzo really needs both of them on jury to sell his game.

I don't know why Cirie was allowed two votes at the second vote.
She was allowed two votes during to first round, sure. Is there a rule that says you keep "playing it" as long as the voting ends?

I guess if you activate two votes, you keep two votes that tribal. Otherwise using it on an odd-numbered group is pretty weak, kinda?

I thought if she couldn't use it on a tie round, Jonathan might flip to get Cirie out. But since she could use it twice, it was appropriately powerful to swing the votes.

I thought about that too, but it's sort of like having an idol. It doesn't go away when you have to vote again.

On the Pod has Spoken Emily kind of talks about it but even then I think she still had confusion because I don't think production explained it well

In my mind it's either Cirie or Aubry. Devens will not make it to the end. I don't think the others will let the player who risked it all to double the pot to stick around.
They know he is too dangerous at FTC

I can see a scenario where it's one of these combos:
Aubry, Joe, Jonathan
Cirie, Joe, Tiff

I don't think both Cirie and Aubry will make final 3. If either of them make it to FTC I think they wipe the floor with everyone else.

Cirie is going to win.

Have they announced if it's 2 or 3 and if they have fire?

It has to be 3.

There's 7 people left and 2 eps.

You've gotta knock off 2 next ep, then 2 during the finale to even get to 3.

What has Aubrey done that's so impressive? Sure, she was part of the Ozzy move, but so was Mr. Jonathan. She has no allies on the jury and skated by most of the season.

Rizzo, Cirie, and Joe in the finals if 3.

Joe and Rizzo don't receive a vote.

Did Ozzie get alcohol? That is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Which is exactly why the jury may give her respect. She had no allies and was on the bottom even before the merge. For her to make it to final tribal playing the game solo speaks volumes to her ability to navigate the game.
It would all come down to how she can convince the jury of her game vs the other 2 she is up against.

Lot of game left.
I think they go from 6 down to 3 in the final episode traditionally. A challenge that gets them to 5, then another one to 4, then the winner of that deciding on who does fire and who comes along for the ride. So only one person should be eliminated next wekk.

If Aubry leads the charge to get out Cirie, she should win. If you think about it, she's redirected 3 votes now that should have been one her. She played her idol without needing to avoid being seen as a threat She seemed like the backup to Devens when he had the fake idol and Stephenie went home. This last episode was nothing short of miraculous. Even though Ozzy bombed himself, she still had to convince Rizzo to vote out his #2 ally and Joe to do something moderately un-honorable, and Jonathan to go along with it. Ozzy screwed himself over, yes, but that looked like one of the most sure-fire eliminations in Survivor history when they split into the mini-tribe.

Typically final episode starts with 5 people, two immunity challenges. Challenge 1 is 5 contestants and a tribal down to 4. Challenge 2 is 4 contestants and a tribal (fire making) down to 3. FTC for the win.

I think 2 go home this week.

Haven't kept up with the thread this year.

Wanted to drop in and say that Jonathan is a dullard. He doesn't deserve to sniff the final 3. He should have gone after Cirie. Taking out Emily - and trying to take out Devens - was stupid.

I'm pulling for Devens or Rizzo.

Also, Joe is worthless..
