Losing hope here. Last day. Unless some sealed indictment.

The grand jury could seal and wait for other cases and arrest all at once.

Or some action of Brennan or any conspiracy he is found to be part of could be used to toll it, extending it to where that action would reset it to.

I understand all that, but his perjury charge in this instance is easy to prove and should be indicted. This is low hanging.

But what do I know, I am just some internet weirdo.

I seem to remember some charges against Trump team members were secretly tolled - maybe Manafort? It does seem like these things can be tolled without notice. I also am an Internet weirdo.

Yes, it was Manafort. Eastern District of VA had investigated Manafort several years earlier but declined to prosecute at that time. About a month after Mueller was appointed Special Prosecutor, his team went to the judge and had the SOL, which was about to run out, tolled.

When Manafort was subsequently indicted in VA and DC, the SOL issue was raised by Manafort's attorneys in a motion to dismiss. Only then were they advised that the SOL had been tolled.

Can the grand jury be convened privately or are all the court items made public?

Comey thinking he can pull the "can't prosecute the demented or insane" Mueller Biden defense. Seashells, bizarre Taylor Swift fallation, etc.

Dude knows the walls are closing in. He will either flee or release the Hillary files and get arkancided.

Why are we sharing any intelligence at all with the Five Eyes nations at this point? Good piece:
Quote:

There is no love lost between President Trump and the collective Deep State of the Anglosphere.
In concert with Deep State operatives embedded in the US intel community, spooks from half of the other four members collaborated in trying to bring down President Trump's first campaign and then successfully hobble his first term in office.
Remember Trump campaign aide young George Papadopoulos being set up -- to provide an excuse for electronic surveillance of the Trump campaign in a night of "heavy drinking" in a posh London wine bar? In that operation, top level Aussie diplomat/politician/spook Alexander Downer was joined by a comely undercover female FBI agent who called herself Azra Turk, who has never been publicly identified. Thefemme fatale delivered the question that yielded the statement that became the alleged basis for spying on the 2016 Trump campaign. (A New York Times 2017 article that has not aged well, deadpanned:
Quote:

It was not, as Mr. Trump and other politicians have alleged, a dossier compiled by a former British spy hired by a rival campaign. Instead, it was firsthand information from one of America's closest intelligence allies.

That was the very beginning of Russia, Russia, Russia as a global conspiracy to prevent Donald Trump from becoming President of the United States, and once elected, to sabotage his presidency. It was a collaboration of agencies from 3 of the 5. When the spooks decided to control who got to be president, half of the other 4 eyes were in on it from the start.
But beyond any animus, there is absolutely no strategic reason for President Trump to favor the other four eyes when it comes to complete and honest intelligence sharing.

I am often dismissive of CTH just because he seems to go over the rails in terms of conspiracy theories often, but I agree that viewing 'Russiagate' as a historical event instead of an ongoing concern as to the intelligence community/surveillance state's involvement in US politics, is misguided/short-sighted.

Long rambling piece that is pretty unreadable, but 'did Rogers warn Trump on Nov 17, 2016?'
Quote:

There was no way for Tulsi to get beyond the block of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), the group that held control of her nomination, while she retained a public opinion that the FISA tool was an unconstitutional exploit that violated the 4th Amendment.

What did Tulsi Gabbard have to do to get through that "advise and consent" process?

She had to accept and affirm that she would never seek to limit, restrict or substantively alter the Intelligence Community access to the NSA database. She had to acquiesce to never blocking or impeding FISA(702) as constructed as a tool to engage the database.

So, even a staunch critic for the abuses within the system, had to take a position that she would never attack the tools that permit the abuse to exist. To get confirmed Tulsi Gabbard reversed her position and told the SSCI she would support FISA (702) if confirmed as DNI.

The "Russiagate" story is being pushed, promoted and advanced by every interest aligned with the retention of FISA(702), and every element of the sexy Clinton Trump-Russia storyline is being used as a distraction to stop people from looking back on the issue of where this spying and surveillance originated.

I am increasingly convinced that DC wants people to chase Russiagate, because DC doesn't want people looking at the Obama exploitation of the NSA database; because every single entity in DC wants to keep people away from contemplating the U.S. metadata capture of all electronic information that now forms the baseline for the national security state.

President Obama supported FISA. Devin Nunes supported the FISA exploit. Kash Patel supports the FISA exploit. Pam Bondi supports the FISA exploit. James Comey supported the FISA exploit. Every corrupt and non-corrupt govt official alike supports FISA. We are told that without it there are great national security threats.

Much more at the link. I am skeptical Tulsi is getting to do, really, what she wants to, even though I appreciate her 'outing' of much of the BS about the origins of Russiagate/Mueller etc.

This "development" for Mueller may be legit but it also seems to be a convenient "sail into the sunset" excuse for him to not have to testify in any way, shape or form.

But if he chooses this route, then his legacy will be solidified as a deep state, inside man who willfully participated in a plot to subvert the will of the people and hamstring, cripple a duly elected POTUS.

And history should remember him for that role.

Watching his testimony before the Senate Intel and Senate judiciary committees was evidence enough that he was going off. He couldn't do anything. He was completely dysfunctional. Couldn't remember anything had to refer to notes on everything. He was just a figure head in there so they could say they were put a Republican in charge of the investigation when the entire time Andrew Wisseman was running a show and he was a hitman for the left.
