Almost as if they come from entirely outside of the system that was put in place decades ago and made worse for minorities courtesy of your pal Reagan.

Most of the gun control issues we're dealing with stem from republicans being terrified of the Black Panthers getting their hands on firearms.
THAT's your take away? Man, your view of Republicans are way off base.

Holy sh**.

Thoughts and prayers, bro. I hope you're one of the few that grows out of it someday after spending more time in the real world. It DOES happen. Pulling for you.

Some advice/clarifications:

1) Don't rush to get your free tax stamp unless you had planned on getting a stamp for that gun anyway

2) If you want to file under a trust (for free), the gun must be owned by that trust before the date the ruling is published in the federal register (supposedly could be sometime this week). Note: Supposedly the efile system is currently requiring a trust ownership date of before 1/13 which I believe is incorrect (since that is not the publish date) and will hopefully get fixed once the rule is published or after yet another lawsuit forces them to correct it.

3) Wait as long as possible within that 120 day window - numerous legal proceedings will be happening.

4) If you acquire a braced pistol after the publish date the free $200 tax stamp is not available to you for that gun.

5) SBRs filed under this ruling do not require you to mark/stamp the gun with your own name/trust and location if the gun already has manufacturer markings on it.

6) Downside of SBRs is that they require approval/notification to travel across state lines with.
Can't you remove the pistol brace as a solution?

Then, if they over rule this years down the line, you've still got the gun and can reattach a pistol brace to it AND not pay $200 AND not register it.
Yes, that is an option although the ATF is cagey about the legality of having an AR pistol sitting around with a bare buffer tube (no brace or stock or anything) and a brace sitting next to it in the closet (both of which by themselves should be technically legal). Your on your own if you want to do that.

The brace makes an AR pistol safer, so that ATF is full of **** as usual.
I'm thinking the bigger short term issue is that a gun range probably won't let you use an AR pistol? Maybe? No idea

How long before the ATF passes a rule on the size of magazines?

Folks I've talked t,o have zero interest in complying with this new regulation. Seriously, are they going to throw hundreds of thousands of people in federal jail? Out of all those, I'm sure there would be some physical resistance too.
Look, this is all just more stupidity under an already stupid law (that we all seem to accept for some reason) -- got a 16" barrel? You're good. Got a 15.5" barrel? Then you pay $200, wait 8 months for the crown to give you permission, submit forms/fingerprints/photo, deep engrave your gun, register it with the government, possibly set up a trust, and look for complications/barriers if you want to transfer it or if you die. F@%$ that.

The ATF likes to do things like arrest you for having a machine gun if have an AR15 and your pants happen to have belt loops.

Or if you have a shoelace and a Mini 14.

Or if a mechanical malfunction causes two rounds to discharge. No, "oh! Glad you're not hurt. Get it fixed."

Mulford act was in one state. And dealt with loaded guns in public. Bump stocks, forced reset triggers, SBRs,….all stem from law enacted by congress. What "most gun control issues" stem from Mulford act?

I have been meaning to start a thread about Antifa and those alike.......

Take a few minutes and try to find any fighting videos with antifa/blm/panthers/libs. They are all purged. It is as if they never existed. You'll find all sorts of articles titled, "Antifa picks fight and gets knocked out" but the video will be gone.

It is crazy how that entire time period of thuggery, burn, vandalize, steal, harm, etc.... simply never happend.

The system works wonderfully for minorities of every skin color and ethnicity from around the world. In less than a generation, African immigrants to the USA are earning more and have a higher net worth than white US citizen born here. Same is true for Indians, Latin Americans, Chinese and just about everyone else. That system has created more wealth and prosperity and given mobility from poverty to prosperity than any other system in the world. The only group that seems to not proper under the system are African Americans bordnhere and fed a steady diet lies telling them that they are victims of not only current oppression but oppression of their distant ancestors. Oddly, Senegalese, Ghanaian, Sudanese and other immigrants to America are impervious to the I'll effects.

Just to be clear, you are advocating for violent armed resistance against the Federal government if they try to take your guns or ammunition? Realizing that armed resistance may result in the deaths of federal agents, yourself and possibly your family members.
