Your article discusses passenger kilometers, mine is departures. You know, the part of a flight where ATC is involved?
So there was 37% more miles flown but no more takeoffs. Hmmmm….

Domestic and intl flight numbers. I wasn't a math major but it sure seems like flights weren't even up 7%. Yea, a COMPLETE misrepresentation of the data.

You do realize that the FAA's DEI policies were EXACTLY the same during Trumps first term as they were under the Biden administration right? So in fact, it had nothing to do with the Biden administration.

My own memory……..but it's easy to find.

They were written in 2012 or 2013 as a result of a change in federal law. They have not been altered since that time.

With all due respect, generative AI says you are FOS:

"under the Biden administration, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) did see changes in its hiring policies, particularly with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Here's a detailed look based on the available information:

Diversity and Inclusion: The Biden administration promoted policies aimed at increasing diversity within federal agencies, including the FAA. This included initiatives to hire from underrepresented groups and those with disabilities for various roles, not limited to air traffic control positions but across the spectrum of FAA job functions.

Biographical Questionnaire: There was a mention of using a biographical questionnaire (BQ) in hiring practices, which was part of an effort to assess candidates beyond just skills-based tests, aiming for a more holistic evaluation that could contribute to diversity in hiring.
Criticism and Policy Reversal: These changes faced criticism from some quarters, particularly from those who argued that such policies might prioritize diversity over merit in roles critical to aviation safety. Following President Trump's re-election in 2024, one of his early actions was to issue an executive order to revert these policies, emphasizing merit-based hiring and explicitly moving away from what he described as "dangerous 'diversity equity and inclusion' tactics." This order was part of broader moves to eliminate DEI initiatives across federal agencies.

Thus, the Biden administration did indeed implement changes to FAA hiring policies focusing on DEI, but these were subsequently reversed by executive actions under the Trump administration in early 2025."

Is it possible…this could be true? Sure, but I am doubtful. This would be the DEI-politics link, though, if so..

Even if Jo Ellis' story were true, how would he/she/it get an assignment to Andrew's? That's not a VA ANG base. 3 days ago still claiming to be a VA ANG member. He had worked for Smerconish I guess, whom I've never listened to but podcast episode dropped the day before the crash.

Not sure this is a DEI smoking gun. He/She/It had 15 years in the national guard and it sounds like had a private pilots license. My question would be how long as a blackhawk pilot and were merit criteria changes because of gender transition.

If they were a pilot before becoming female I'm not sure it matters as much.

If it were to be true, his long letter about gender dysphoria and depression the day prior to the accident would be a big deal (as well as TDS). Keep in mind this is really a mental health issue so suicide/murder is what is implicated.

He may have been a very competent pilot, but all of those hormones/depression/mental health could also have played a role, is my point, and if that is true then the military's DEI idiocy around allowing 'trans' (mentally ill) people to serve could be a root cause.

I'll state again though, I am still very skeptical 'Jo Ellis' was the pilot. I'm not quite sure why the pentagon hasn't released the pilot's name however, officially. I've seen a name of "Ryan" elsewhere but it is speculation.

Where else are you supposed to do it? Part of a checkride is to assess your ability to complete the mission. If your mission is VIP transport around DC, then that's what you have to do

If it is fake news can the govt determine "who" posted it first and can Jo Ellis sue them ?

Possibly a bot generated headline if it is that would also be useful to know

I am not suggesting this thought is serious but should be discussed:

Who was flying the Blackhawk? Which leads to the question, who was on the plane? More on this to rule out 100% that this was not a terrorist/kamikaze, attack/mission.

Or a leftist nut job (redundant) that posted this bs, in order to put the blame on Trumps EO banning trans in the military. You know they never miss an opportunity during a tragedy.
