President Donald Trump said he had a "lengthy" call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, which included Putin agreeing to "immediately" begin negotiations over the war in Ukraine.

"We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other's Nations," Trump posted to Truth Social on Wednesday. "We have also agreed to have our respective teams start negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, to inform him of the conversation, something which I will be doing right now. I have asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of the CIA John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and Ambassador and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, to lead the negotiations which, I feel strongly, will be successful."

Congresswoman Stainsberry (D-NM) seems to be gearing up to impeach him over egg prices during the DOGE hearing this morning.

Dems continue to way overplay their cards on every single issue these days. I imagine they will yell, kick and scream at Hegseth's comments on Ukraine / NATO and Trump will be labeled as a Putin puppet in perpetuity if peace consists of anything other than the Great Z being declared most glorious victor.

Democrats have screamed impeachment and *******ized the term so much that it doesn't even move the needle any longer.

Putin wanted to bring all of Ukraine into Russians fold. That was his goal in the beginning. Putin didn't get it. Putin failed. Ukraine, and Zelensky, still exist, and will after all is said and done.

If that's "winning" for Putin, he sure changed his tune after years of failing to get all that he wanted.

Most of Ukraine's rare earth metals are in the Urals, in western Ukraine. None are in crimea.

$1 billion a month? LOL. Try closer/up to $20 billion if you include 'loans.' And guess what, in any settlement with Russia those assets used as backing, aren't going to be given to Kiev.

Remember, POTATUS student-loan-forgiveness got his run in the lending business (well, after the credit card one), from BS 'loans' that would never be repaid courtesy of USAID.

It only accelerated from there. That's why he was so giddy to boast about it.
