Just so I am clear, and not making any assumptions on your opinions of January 6th.

  • What % of those convicted of crimes and placed in jail for their part on January 6th where legitimately targeted and appropriately charged?
  • What % of those convicted do you believe were sentenced accordingly/correctly? i.e. getting 2 years for hitting an officer vs 2 years for walking through the building (hypothetical of course)
  • What % of those associated with January 6th do you believe received due process? This could range from being held in jail for a long time before receiving their day in court, to being overcharged as a means to threaten them with lengthy jail time if they lose to coerce a plea to lesser charges.

I find it fascinating the stock is down 50%. Is it a good buy at this point? Of course Musk seems to think so.

Seems like a bounce-back is likely, with the updated Y, new smaller/cheaper cars, and generally an uptick in CY Q2.

8 more days of FA phase, then these limpwristed dorks are going to be thrust into the FO phase, where things aren't going to go as they plan.

Personally, I have been approached by a neighbor who owns a Cybertruck, asking if I've got any interest in being part of their rag tag group to post up and keep watch of a local north Dallas supercharging station. As much fun as it sounds, I usually prefer not to get my foot caught in bear traps, intentionally. They're ready and willing to "stop" any of the takedown crowd that considers tampering/destroying the supercharger station, and I believe them. His line of thought was a bit frightening, though.

Austin, however, is going to be interesting to keep watch on next weekend. There could be a strong competition for the 2025 Darwin Award when a domestic terrorist meets a .223 round.

I had the opportunity to have a Tesla as a rental recently. I would never buy one, but I have always wanted to drive one. But with all the craziness going on, I passed and ended up with something else. These are strange times, wild days. Democrats embracing the anti-Tesla movement are such sheep. It's just a car.

Depends on if you think a truck that sources more parts from N.A., but is manufactured by a company in Japan is more American than a company that sources fewer parts from N.A., but is an American company. Tesla has, by far, the highest average number of parts sourced from North America across its lineup of vehicles. Percentage quoted in the article is likely understated now, as the reason why the Cybertruck didn't previously qualify for the EV tax credit was because they were sourcing cathode material from China and it now qualifies, meaning they no longer source it from China.

Honda Ridgeline is 75% North American
Cybertruck is 65%
F-150 is 45%

Cybertruck will be further increasing its percentage when Tesla begins producing lithium from their refinery near corpus, sourcing material from Australia.
