Have all the files been released? It's my understanding that members of Congress have access to the redacted portions. Perhaps Massie et al can start demanding investigations into specific people. Maybe that's already going on.

No, half of the files have been released (3MM out of 6MM). They are heavily redacted. Trump told us there were no files and they were a "democrat hoax".

Do Congressman have access to the unredacted portions? If so, Dems & Massie can start demanding investigations.

Yes they do allegedly

They do, and if they flip the House this Fall, thats probably exactly what they will do.

It is imperative that the GOP keep control of Congress or this albatross is going to remain around the Trump administration's neck the next two years and kill any chance at any improvement to this country.

The Democrats don't want actual investigations. They know how thoroughly the DNC is wrapped up with Epstein.

This is political theater.

And when they control the investigation, its going to be solely about Trump. They will continue to ignore all the democrats with direct ties to Epstein.

Why would they have to wait for the house to flip to call for investigations? Your second sentence makes no sense at all. My point in all of this is that so many people are lathered up over pure speculation at this point. Random unverified statements and emails from decades ago are fueling a mob mania.

They are already "Calling" for investigations. These loons like Ted Lieu do it daily!

If heaven forbid they get control of Congress, they are going to start actual investigations and not just call for them. (investigations that won't be aimed at the truth, but at continuing to "get Trump)

From Massies mouth, they actually don't yet.

Several files they went in to view at the DOJ after redactions were supposed to be removed, were still redacted and it is because they were provided to the DOJ that way.

This is going to remain around Trumps neck no matter what happens at this point. He's lost a ton of generally apolitical supporters over this.

Congress has access to the unredacted files currently. Massie has threatened to name names a few times (I wish he would).

I am not sure why Gipper is insisting on GOP keeping control of Congress. This is going to be ongoing no matter who holds office.

It might be because Massie has more in mind than simply trying to force the DOJ to do investigations into sexual crimes that should have been handled correctly 20 years ago.

He might be trying to expose intelligence agencies and our criminal government that steals from all of us like a real representative in a representative Democracy should.

What if in all of the millions of documents in the Epstein files there is no smoking gun or even anything that could serve as a predicate for an investigation into anybody? Could it then be considered a "hoax".

Treading awfully close to "I wish this would just go away so we can move on".

Why would we want this admin to stay if they're the one's covering this up now?

*please notice the now, I don't need to hear about Biden 2020, Trump 2016, or Obama 2008 and 16. We've discussed, wish they had done more.

That would mean that either:

1. Epstein and Maxwell created a global sex trafficking ring but somehow didn't actually traffic the girls to anyone but themselves.

Or

2. Epstein and Maxwell have the best operational security in history and somehow successfully hid any evidence of their customers despite millions of emails, documents, travel records etc.

My guess is 3. Bondi has been told to not actually investigate anyone and continue to try and get this to go away.

This is where I am... wide open to the possibility there is evidence that supports criminal charges against someone, but so far nothing of substance has materialized. Just a bunch of people convinced there's a criminal in there somewhere and screaming for investigations and charges. It's a classic witch hunt that has a fever pitch to it... the mob is angry and won't be satisfied until enough heads are rolled.

Nothing in my comments says I want to protect pedos. If there's real evidence that would convict them, then go after them. But the endless demands for convictions without the evidence to substantiate the claims are beginning to ring hollow.

That's not a personal agenda and that's not covering up crimes lol

Any files that would ever be released to Congress or the public will never show a crime committed by anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell. 4 deep-state administrations have made sure of that.

Not discussing illegal behavior over emails and other means is pretty standard OPSEC.

I believe that he trafficked teens (prostitutes?) to other rich guys. I wouldn't be surprised if there is no documented evidence of it. It's why victims need to make accusations and tell their story. The files can then be used to corroborate their stories.

Maybe you feel that way, I don't.

This conspiracy is huge and every day is increasing the general population's distrust of our government and politicians on both sides, which is always a good thing in my book. The less we believe in either party the quicker we can begin to dismantle it all and unite as a Country for the betterment of middle class America by shrinking the size of government at every level.

Wasting time to me would be talking about ICE, corporate tax cuts, global warming, etc.

Most voters are not going to base their vote on Epstein. Those that do because they think it is the only issue left in this world shouldn't be allowed to vote. It's as dumb as people who only vote based on a specific social issue like abortion.

The issue doesn't even register in the polls.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

As long as it went on and as many people who were involved, I find it hard to believe they didn't make a few mistakes along the way. Which is the whole purpose of the investigation that Bondi continues to refuse to even attempt. None of these files would have even been released without congress forcing their hand, so it's pretty clear they have no interest in pursuing it.

I think the victims are (understandably) nervous that if they publicly name names no one at the DOJ will actually support them. Which then opens them up to lawsuits against a bunch of rich/powerful people that they can't come close to affording. Also, I only caught part of the hearing but I believe the ones in attendance last week said they'd be willing to talk to the DOJ but no one will meet with them.
