I don't watch Kimmel, I don't think he's particularly funny, and what he said was astonishingly distasteful, but do we really want the government forcing the media to cancel or censor anything they don't approve of? That's a dark path to go down - Sure, a lot of you folks agree with today's Republican administration on this, but what happens when a Democratic administration comes into power and threatens to revoke FCC licenses for Fox News and other conservative media? As we like to say, Highway 6 runs both ways.

Whatever happened to the mantra of personal responsibility? I don't like Fox News, so ... I don't watch it. I also don't like MSNBC, so ... I don't watch it. I don't like Kimmel's show, so ... I don't watch it.

Kimmel can set up a new podcast with Ermiya now! They can discuss trans rights for 90 minutes every day until eternity!

Did you cry this hard when Rosanne Barr or Tucker Carlson was fired? If you didn't you can shut up and sit this out.

Also he got fired because the abc affiliates said they were pulling him unless he apologizes and donates money. If the affiliates pull it then there is no way for Disney to make money off of it.

I'm not gonna lie……. I can watch Fallon. He is actually funny….. I DO hope he stays, Johnny Carson would be rolling over in his grave knowing the tonight show got canceled.

I literally have never watched a single episode or even five minutes of Kimmel, Fallon or Colbert.

because I am a grown male conservative who gets up early to drive to work.

Although I agree with your sentiment, the premise is false. The government should never 'force' the media to cancel, HOWEVER, when the majority of the MSM is run by liberals, it's much easier for MSM to look past comments made by liberal hosts, even when they spread misinformation. They really had no accountability. The fact that they spread mininformation, which as we've seen has dire consequences on people's lives, they should willingly rid their outlets of this problem, but they don't, and therefore gov't has to force some action. Otherwise we will get more Charlie Kirk situations going forward. The mantra of personal responsibility went out the door when people rationalized the fact that MSM can say whatever they want with no consequences.

Interesting. People are OK with it one way, but not the other. And what Kimmel said is not just something disagreeable he flat out lie. And he's done this many times. Of course the left is trying to make it about Trump's getting everybody canceled that he doesn't like which is not true. Colbert lied constantly. He was also losing a lot of money on his show.

At the end of the day, these are all just failed actors that happened to stumble into talk shows. Just a few of many examples:

Interesting... Listening to Megyn Kelly's morning update right now. NexStar, who owns over 200 local ABC stations was answer planning to preempt the show last night before ABC/Disney pulled the plug.

Bad idea. The fatigue was already in place for many things. They might force people to discover just how well they can go without what their "talent" (?) and current crop of sciptwriters provides. The self-made shows and series online these days are often better and rival `official' stuff. That trend is going to only increase with AI.
