GA and at least one AZ seat should be republican, but were given away to democrats.

cornyn should be replaced. There are thousands of people with Paxtons beliefs, but not his baggage.This is the best the party can get to run? The republican party is a joke, People on this board should be more involved with the party apparatus if you really want cornin gone and to replace rinos.

texags posters aren't going to elect the senator. People who don't pay attention till the last month are going to elect the senator. Unless it's the incumbent running, it's a toss up at this point. Luckilt the dems have bad candidates also.

He took case after case through the court systems to fight a ton of nonsense.

Paxton shutdown a foreclosure sale in Travis County (or around there) for Covid so his buddy Creepy Nate Paul could avoid foreclosure of his properties.

2014 AG Election (before baggage): 59% - 38%
2018 AG Election (in middle of baggage): 50% - 47%
2022 AG Election (at tail end of baggage): 53% - 44%

2026 Senate Election: ??? But you know that the baggage will be front and center. Running for state AG and US Senator are night and day different and the amount of Dem money that will get dumped into the race for the Democrat will be obscene.

I keep hearing about his supposed skeletons in his closet, and yet nobody ever reveals what these skeletons are. They tried to impeach his ass, and yet he was acquitted on all 16 counts. It seems to me, that if he had skeletons they would have come out then. In fact, not only was he acquitted, but his political opponents got crushed in the next election.

Wesley Hunt would be good.

Unfortunately, Hispanic people rarely vote for black people for office. Otherwise, I think Hunt would be an awesome choice. I don't think he gets enough of the Latino vote to win in the general.

Professionally, Paxton has constantly fought back and sued the Obama and Biden admins for federal overreach and had quite a bit of success. He has sued the federal government on deportation freezes, immigration enforcement (or lack thereof), the border wall (or lack thereof), O&G lease moratoriums, "carbon credits", covid vax mandates, election integrity, title IX improprieties, etc. He also defended Texas's heartbeat bill to protect the unborn. For Texas, he has cracked down on the opioid epidemic, human trafficking, and election integrity.

Because of all of this, he's been relentlessly attacked by dems and media and a lot of people are completely blind to the fact that their impeachment of him failed miserably. Forgive me if accusations of conflicts of interest or bribery for contract awards that he's already been acquitted of, or attacks on his personal life and marriage, from democrats of all people, are taken with a grain of salt at this point. He's divorced now. He and his wife had been separated for a while.

Could there be someone better? Maybe. But not someone as accomplished. Wes Hunt has less fodder for the dems and media to attack him with for now, but he's a pretty junior rep and I think he's more capable of losing in a debate. And I just don't like the disqualification of a candidate because "the dems will hammer him". Donald Trump didn't have anything in 2015 and look what they did to him. Larry Elder ran in a recall election in CA and they called him the black face of white supremacy for the crime of being a black conservative. You can't reason with evil. You have to beat them in elections with candidates that might actually make a difference.

I will never vote for Paxton. He's a slimy piece of crap that is everything all you pure bloods complain about the swamp. I vote against him in the primary and skip the AG spot on the ballot each time. More of this is what you have to worry about if he wins primary.
We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have, or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-b******, were going to rip out their living G*******d guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. He's a pretty popular longtime AG who has fought hard against the dems. He's not the most charismatic but I have faith Texans won't put a dem senator in office.
