That is incorrect. One of them saw the murderer and heard the sounds of the killing of one of their roommates though they may not of known what they heard at the time. There are still a ton of questions surrounding their actions from the moment of the killing until the police arrive. I can't get over that their first call isn't to 911 but instead to friends to come over who then call 911 on arriving.

I think I saw earlier in this thread that she quit responding to texts around 6pm... That could be there about when she lost her phone in the woods. So possibly a little before then?

Buzbee looking out for Buzbee. He never misses a chance to get in front of a camera.

The mother clearly cannot and likely never be able to accept the daughter killed herself.

It is not the job of the police to tell her what she wants to hear. It is their job to figure out what happened, regardless of where the evidence leads.

Not to derail... But honestly this doesn't really surprise me too much. Spent a decade as a Vol FF. Folks sometimes seem to act weird in face of traumatically adverse situations. It's not a "gift" that everyone has, and even folks that are "good" at it have often had training. If they've witnessed to something they are sometimes partially in shock and not of clear mind. I think i read even in this case, the 911 call was just "an unconscious person" and they didn't do any further follow-up; just a phone call.

Add to that college students are pretty irrational, as a group. Now put alcohol and potentially other things in the mix...

Timeline I read said she left the tailgate around 10 PM and arrived at the high-rise around 11 PM. That gives her plenty of time to stumble to the woods and lose her phone.

Quote:

Friday, Nov. 28
  • 410 p.m. Aguilera attended a tailgate party at the Austin Rugby Club, arriving between 4 and 5 p.m. and leaving around 10 p.m. Witnesses said she appeared intoxicated and was asked to leave
  • 11 p.m. Aguilera arrived at the 21 Rio apartment complex and was seen entering a unit

I fully expect Buzbee and the family to sue the people who put on the tailgate for making her get drunk and the apartment for building the dangerous balcony. And now that TB has been hired, the boyfriend should seek counsel, because they'll be coming for him as he was the last person to talk with her.

Apparently, per the family, one of the females in her group at the tailgate took videos of her having fun with other guys at the tailgate and sent it to her boyfriend. Motive unclear, but would be reasonable assumption that she was trying to make him mad or rile him up.

She gets wasted, loses her personal effects. She also called her boyfriend from someone else's phone (same or different female friend who filmed?) Argument ensues. She is found at the bottom of a 17 story high-rise 60 seconds later.

I still dont think she jumped on purpose. Accident or fight with another girl more likely.

Why don't you think she jumped on purpose? She wrote a suicide note days before she died, made suicidal comments to her friends the day she died, and was apparently self harming herself the day she died as well. Not to mention the cops have the apartment video where they presumably see her fall.

All evidence points to a suicide. Unless it's a massive cover up from the friends which is highly unlikely they could all keep the lies and stories straight.

Lots of rumors flying around on social media. If you google the mom's name, a very interesting article shows up from the chron from a few years ago. Might shed some more insight into Brianna's family dynamics.

I followed (still follow) motorsports in the late 1990s and early 2000s when there were a handful of notable deaths. Several comments from family members stuck out to me. One of them was from Kyle Petty who lost his son Adam due to a crash in New Hampshire. To paraphrase he said something along the lines, "I will never stop missing him and grieving because if I do it will mean I don't love him."

Being a parent to losing a child has to be one of the hardest emotional things in the world.

What I saw on social media was that she actually had a horrible argument with her mom the day she died. Which might explain why she put her phone on DND when she was at the tailgate.

She could have been drunk but she could also have been under the influence drugs, whether knowingly or not.

Need that tox report to see what was in her system. So sad.

According to reports, police revealed they had uncovered a deleted suicide note from earlier in the week on Aguilera's phone, along with suicidal texts sent the evening of her death to friends. The investigation also found that Aguilera had previously made comments in October to friends indicating she may be suicidal.

Im not sure drugs would have had anything to do with this. She was depressed, suicidal, and sounds like her fighting with her boyfriend was the final straw for her.

Alcohol and drugs can really amplify things like depression.

Years ago, the company I worked for had a business relationship with a very nice woman. She went home one day after a long day and took a little something something to settle her nerves. Washed it down with a glass of red wine and then went to relax in her hot tub. Between whatever she took, the wine, and the hot tub, she passed out and drowned.

Don't mix drugs.

It does and would also explain why the mother was so panicked that she couldn't reach her daughter. If my college student kid went to a fun weekend of partying and tailgating I wouldn't panic and think the worst if I couldn't reach them for a few hours early in the night. The Mom was calling the police some time between 10 PM to 12 AM I believe. In hindsight it certainly seems like the Mom was concerned because of something that was said between her and her daughter.

My friends and I would go down to Padre for a week at Spring break. Late 70s. Obviously no phones. I'm sure my Mom would be a bit nervous until I got back home and called but not enough to make a fuss over it.

We just had so much more freedom back then.

Basically mom got arrested awhile back for harassing her ex-husband and his new girlfriend. A few Facebook messages from a fake account and phone calls at work (the ex and new gf work at a hospital). Bad breakup stuff but nothing outrageous. But definitely a spicy latina mom

Wow... So a full six hours after being so intoxicated and unruly that she gets kicked out of a rugby tailgate party (which...to get kicked out of a rugby tailgate...she to be tremendously drunk and unruly)... she is still awake and drinking (and whatever else).

If she had been THAT drunk a full six hours earlier, I'm kinda surprised she didn't die from alcohol poisoning. That is a loooooooong time to keep drinking.

Edit to add - another post said she got kicked out of tailgate at 10 or 11.

As for people struggling to understand how her friends wouldn't know....as a female who lived with other females...it's entirely plausible.

The friends could've passed out drunk and that's why everyone else in the apartment left. Girl goes in the living room and grabs one of their phones and calls her boyfriend. Friends never hear a thing.

Or friends are in the living room, she asks to borrow phone and they let her. She goes to bedroom and they hear her arguing, but don't pay too much attention because it's a regular occurrence for her to argue with her boyfriend. I can't imagine they'd actually hear her jump, so it goes quiet and they just assume she passed out. Flashing lights or sirens in Austin wouldn't faze me, so they don't think anything of it, if the flashing lights are even detectable that high up. They fall asleep and never realize what happened.

I've been around a LOT of drunk girls. It's entirely plausible they literally had no idea. Hell, I've been so drunk and passed out that you could fire a gun by my head and I wouldn't even realize it.

That's why I asked how much parents of kids presently in college monitor their kids' phones/movements, and I was surprised how many of them are still monitored like teenagers in high school.

I get what you're saying, but I had one experience at about 20 years old in which I drank so much Friday night that I felt drunk all day Saturday. And I weighed about 170, not 105.

Scared me so bad that I have never consumed anywhere near that much alcohol again.

Also it has these excerpts. Sounds like Brianna had a rough childhood from everything Ive read.

In other messages, Ramos Rodriguez made reference to his ex-husband "losing his house to foreclosure, being in debt, not caring for his children and being a wife batterer."

She believed that on April 2, Ramos Rodriguez used a Facebook account with the name of "Crystal Salas" to send her a mugshot of her boyfriend when he was arrested for domestic violence. She further stated the messages contained negative comments "warning her" about her boyfriend.
