My opinion on Trump hasn't really changed since 2020.

Trump is a narcistic, boarish, thin-skinned, meat-head of an a-hole that loves America, selects pretty good SCOTUS Justices, and champions policies that usually benefit people that live outside of the Beltway.

Which puts him in the top 0.1% of elected federal officials.

The main difference between Trump and your average DC politician is that Trump is so arrogant that he doesn't try to hide who he really is from the public.

you As a Trump voter….

His "Rob Reiner" take on Truth Social might be rock bottom Trump.

Something is seriously wrong with that man - his thin skin is so thin that he has to make a double homicide all about him.

Truly gross behavior.

As bad as that, his obsession with picking a pointless fight with Venezuela of all places. What an unforced error.

We wanted no more dumb foreign interventionist wars but he's trying to start a new one.

Do you know what Reiner has said about Trump?

There is no precedent prior to Donald Trump of such horrible vulgarities blasted by the President of the United States. It would have been unconscionable even in his first term. Now it's become normalized. I hope both parties can non-normalize it once he ****s off in 2029.

I'm sorry…have you not seen what Democrats have posted and said about Charlie Kirk since his death?

Can you name the Democratic politician that said something like this about Charlie Kirk after his death? Because I can't seem to find it. Also Trump is the President of the United States. We could all give him a pass because he's got a severe personality disorder but then that would mean admitting it and his supporters won't.

It's weird how Trump being mean to a dead person is the straw that broke the camel's back for some of you. But you were able to get past the fact that Trump is a rapist and a pedophile. Odd.

Joe Biden smoked crack with his son and his widowed daughter-in-law whilst they pimped our Beau's daughter at sex parties with the Obamas. Thats a fact.

Odd you don't bring that up.

I would love to see the evidence of this "fact" you posted.

Its from the same book of facts that mentions Trump as a racist and pedo.

Who and where? Even the comments by the former staffer are not racist. And the poster who called him racist said they have no evidence, no examples just their feelz.

"blind devotion to cult leader" is a lib phenomenon. Defending Trump against misinformation is not blind devotion. Try again.

if Trump is living to be 110 years old, I hope I die way before then.

You must be dying of TDS!

Careful. Trump got in trouble for saying TDS results in death. There are even two threads about it!!

Yep that's all he said!

Here he says it again

This is what normal human discourse is like in 2025.

What did Reiner say after Rush died?

When was Reiner the President of the United States?

You guys that keep expecting this level of decorum from the POTUS are living in yesterday. It hasn't existed in years, starting with Obama. He was a scumbag, and said things that were FAR more damaging to the country (this statement by Trump isn't relevant to that at all).

It's amazing how many of you just refuse to live in reality and think you're living in a real life version of The American President.

another sign of trump's cognitive decline (as evidenced by today's comments on reiner) is he's clearly losing his fastball. for all his faults he used to be the best in the game at inserting himself into discourse, inflaming his opponents, and rallying his supporters. he tried to do it again today and alienated all but the most hopeless hangers-on.

I don't see where Trump did anything wrong here, so its easy to defend. What is harder to defend is the evil the poured from Reiner's mouth in the past decade.

Find me a serious Democrat politician - not some fringe TikTok looney - who didn't say very publicly that Charlie Kirk's murder was unacceptable. **** Ezra Klein (who is quickly becoming the loudest non politician voice of the Democratic Party) even said plenty of words of support for what Charlie was doing in practicing politics even if he didn't support his politics. Our president is basically saying that Reiner got murdered and deserved to be murdered because he didn't support Trump. I would say there's a pretty obvious difference there if we are still capable of critical thought in our society.

The entire Democratic H of Reps would not vote for a Charlie Kirk Day and refused to even have a moment of silence on the House floor for his memory.

Is it normal to have a day for a citizen murdered in our country? We had Democratic legislators murdered/shot in Minnesota? Did Republicans vote to have Melissa Hartman day or was that murder not relevant? Mike Lee even said some awful things about that murder - something no Democrat said about Charlie Kirk. Our president didn't even acknowledge that it happened. Flags weren't flown at half staff. You can see how someone can think Charlie Kirk's murder was awful and unacceptable, but having "Charlie Kirk" day is a bit much. It doesn't mean you condone his murder.

We have MLK day?

Are we comparing Charlie Kirk to MLK?

You are moving the goal posts. And Charlie was a million times the man that MLK was

His words reflect who he was. Who he was is not deserving of compassion.

Its not that people are just now upset about his statements. Most probably never realized the level of his TDS.

Bad take.

It was a stupid tweet and not necessary at all. That being said, the trash that comes out of politicians mouth's these days shows that we are so far past any form of decency that no one cares about except for the opposite side, of which ever mouth breather opines on a daily basis. To be honest I'm more concerned that I am a white privileged male US citizen and that our political choices are the worst this country has to offer. Everyone should be more concerned that politicians break the law daily and steal tax $$ for personal gain while we are waiting to get a ride on the merry go round.
