At our lakehouse had a huge problem with deer eating our flowers and garden. There are some horribly smelling sprays available that repel deer. Also hunters use some scents to mask their human smell. All are completely harmless but are not pleasant to get a whiff.

Let's add that it is EXTREMELY likely all congress critters and any politician has had some security briefings and training. I'm sure rule number 1, 1A, or even down to 2 is "do not engage the attacker!!!".

The only thing I question right now is did she let security in on her little production. Keep the circle small, have the muscle tackle the guy and do his job thinking he eliminated the threat.

And it was of course staged. She is somewhat calmly saying someone threw something / sprayed something on her. Absent her brother being in the room, she has no idea what she was splattered with and would be losing her mind, demanding a shower and to be decontaminated as a precaution.

That being said, I'm very much on the side of, "this was staged."

Now, if it comes out that the attacker is on the "spectrum" or as we used to call it, "dididi," then I'll look to switching to the other side, but as it is, this looks as fake as every gringos' orange/tan makeup.
