But weren't "many in the room" saying that it was a horribly offensive smell?

Apple cider vinegar has a very distinct smell, but not what I would call offensive or horrible. I was expecting from initial reports for it to be something like urine, deer repellant, rotten egg mixture, or something similar.



Here's the "reporter" talking about it. Curious that there's no mention of apple cider vinegar, though when my wife pours it in the kitchen, I know exactly what it is.

Agree here. Most posts have been about what Omar did afterwards. In my mind, that's not what exposes this as fake.

What truly exposes it as staged is the lack of response by her security detail, who supposedly does not know what the substance is. It could be acid. It could be poison. There are many possible substances that will take a few minutes of interaction with ambient air to take effect. But they're apparently fine with her insistance that she'll continue her speech. No thought of "No, maam. We have to get that shirt off of you ASAP, because we have no idea what that substance is."

If this is not staged, then Omar has the most incompetent security detail in the history of security details.

If her security detail is Somalian....then yes, it could be the most incompetent in history

They seemed very concentrated in the last six months too. Almost like he was setting up the background of changing his views.

He could be a nut job. They got mad at his wife and the left, but why even bothered to do this at this point? He knew it was just vinegar and he knew he'd get massive trouble for it so unless the guy is mentally ill, which apparently doesn't fly with the left when they're trying to blame the right.

Let's assume for a moment that Anthony truly hated Ilhan Omar, as is now being claimed to argue that this wasn't staged. OK, if he hates her, why did he use something harmless like apple cider vinegar?

Moreover, if he is a former husband of Patrice, a political activist and supporter of Ilhan Omar, how did Omar's security detail (or Omar herself!) not recognize Anthony sitting right in front of her on the front row? Of course this was staged. We don't know what the motivation or payoff was for Anthony, but it would be a good idea to beef up the security around him. He's a loose end now, with no further usefulness left.

Not really...the left is going to try to spin this into a false equivalency and it just is not. This was a d*ck move, but way less than what she actually deserves. He should be punished accordingly, but I am not going to act like this puts right wingers into the same ballpark as liberals. They are out violently attacking LEO's and LOVE violence and chaos. So what if occaaaaaasionally some crazy conservative sprays harmless liquid on an evil America-hating democrat.

He posted his worry about Biden winning sometime between April and July--while Biden was still in the race. Not in October.

July 21 was when Biden withdrew.

The only facts I'm privy to is Ilhan Omar was nothing, nobody, without a dime to her name and now is a Somali, anti-American Congresswoman for a Somali Community embattled in the biggest fraud scandal in US history, has expressed being "Somali first, Muslim second" and is now a multimillionaire while denigrating our history, culture, and people.

And I don't trust a single things she does or says.

She doesn't deserve to be an American let alone a Representative.
