Have seen this a couple of times.

Have we known for sure it was Iran that planned the assassination attempt?? Thought I remembered them taking credit for it, but thought it was them blowing smoke trying to puff their chest out.

Didn't know that it had been confirmed, but now seems like all of these tweets are stating it as fact.

Maybe I missed it somewhere along the way (likely)

I'm surprised Iran didn't direct them to find shelter in a port/any port on day 1 of the campaign. That's a massive asset to lose with next to no chance of it playing a beneficial role for the motherland other than getting sunk.

Like Iraq sending their fighter jets to neighboring countries at the start of the 2nd Iraq war.

Im not we have embedded combat controllers with the Kurds in the past. We've already signaled air support. Targett8ng IRGC, Basiji, police and militia/army bases and formations makes total sense. It also allows more routes to smuggle guns in to opposition. We know there are small drones bombing Basiji in cities. Expect more of that to weaken and disperse the regime forces.

Make of it what you will... I have no doubt in this instant internet information age we live in that appearances and reality will diverge.



Here's what I'm understanding about the Kurdish ground movement reports in southwestern Iran.

So far it appears limited to small scale clashes along the border. Kurdish forces are positioning and preparing.

At the same time, U.S. and Israeli officials are running heavy information warfare, likely to confuse and stretch the heII out of the IRGC.
