It appears the NHL is taking advice from other sports leagues and willfully ignoring the reality of who really makes up their core constituency.

It's a bold move to say the least.

Sports management is more about catering to the non-fans now than the fans. Why my wife and I are generally not fans now.

Fist line of the article mentions the NHL has been focused on inclusivity. Yet somehow, it's not inclusive that a brown dude named Patel is celebrating a hockey game. How many Patel's watched hockey 20 years ago. That seems like inclusivity.

I love it that this generation of young men are unapologetically patriotic and don't back down from showing it.

Thanks to the left and their villianization of males, we have a generation of men that are sick and tired of being told they are the root of all problems. They are proud to be young American men, they are conservative, hold traditional values, and they aren't backing down.

Also, if the NHL reaction in the OP is true, they better wake up and understand their fanbase.

Hockey players have "refused to wear the ribbon" for years.

There are pockets of based men in some sports, but on the whole, hockey is the most unapologetic anchored sport.

The fact us winning the gold is more about politics than celebrating is whats wrong with this country. The fact that olympic champions cant accept an invitation and be excited about a call from the US president without repercussions from others, no matter what political party, is whats wrong with this country. Pro rodeo needs to be high on that list of unapologetic, Christian values, patriotic American sports. I think I had a few small tears form when Kristi Noem rode out horseback to present the colors during the most recent NFR.
