there are two ways for congress to enforce the war powers act. money and impeachment. its not a question for the courts.

The War Power's Act is a law passed by congress in 1973 that directly affects the ability of the POTUS to protect this country. If it's unconstitutional, SCOTUS can rule that law unconstitutional. There have been several rather indirect challenges, but not a direct one.

you didn't answer the questions in my first sentence.


the war powers act has never affected the president's ability to do anything. every president has agreed its unconstitutional every time congress brings it up.



if you had congress linked in arms blocking the military's access to planes or bases, then maybe you'd have a controversy that a court could address. but just blustering by congress does not a lawsuit make.

A political fallout from this conflict is that the 'I hate Israel' block has been largely booted from the GOP to the welcoming arms of the Dems.

This is where they belonged anyway so I think this clarification is good. (Also due to SPLC indictment etc).

Haha such a good point. Still laugh every time someone brings up that we've been fighting Iran for nearly 50 years. Just a joke of a premise. Israel has been fighting Iran, at our expense, for quite some time though.

Also a joke is that our president campaigned on no new wars, but dragged us into one that clearly there was zero need for. The timing of said war is irrelevant when you tell everyone no new wars - it's still a new war.

Well there's always been John McCain and now everyone's favorite now including Trump and that's the great advisor Lindsey Graham.

The MIC has always been consistent.

Bibi has always has been consistent.

But Trump 1.0 actually campaigned against this now he's telling us we should compare how great his war is compared to other wars he campaigned against.

Walsh is correct in how many now are parroting Lindsey Graham as if they have always agreed.
