I'm good with just gassing the Kohmeni friends, family and supporters.

Glassing them too. Evil ****s the lot of the them. But the remaining 90% shouldnt be glasses for the crimes of the Mahdi worshippers.

Smh.

Why, because Trump is fundamentally shifting the geopolitical landscape with most expediency and it ruffles you up cause we had to send some martyrs to the virgins in paradise awaiting?

Nope, I think most all need to wake up and thank God, Yahweh and Allah for Donald John Trump. Lakshmi too if Vivek is around.

If what Trump is doing lasts longer than his administration, I'll see your four "typical" gods, and throw in the big ones from Celtic, Norse, Roman, Greek, AND Egyptian mythology.

He is the former Global Head of Commodities Research in the Global Investment Research Division at Goldman Sachs. He rose to prominence during the 2000s by forecasting the commodity super-cycle and oil spiking above $100 a barrel

Currie has been in commodity markets for his entire career including his time at Goldman. He's a scumbag (for his silver market manipulation) but he KNOWS these markets.

We aren't going mad max in July but there will be economic disruptions (aka much higher prices for fuel) and then the carry on impacts from that......

Solid take, thank you for sharing. It is insane that our internal politics and lack of resolve are the biggest threats to success.

It takes courage and strength to stand for what's right. Lots of politicians, Americans and even a few posters lack strength and courage.

Not that I am suggesting everything works perfectly if everyone is on board, because this is still a huge challenge with full support. It just becomes increasingly difficult giving the IRGC the lifeline of "just wait for the US political system to make this go away."

And it takes very little (and it's getting increasingly more rare) wisdom to know that you should never believe anything any government ever says. Powerful governments are always the enemy no matter which colored jersey they have on currently.

It takes mass weakness to instead lap up the talking points of Don Lemon and Rachel Maddow.

Bait for what?

You act as though Trump is the only one who speaks for government in an attempt to undermine my comment that Trump is not the voice of the United States government, as we have 3 separate co-equal branches of government.

So do I believe we Congress speaks to me as a voice of government is always telling the truth? No.

Do I think Trump ALWAYS tells the truth. Do I think he is always lying as many of you seem prone to? Nope.

Do I think SCOTUS is equally capable of misrepresenting things, absolutely.

So if one want to chuckle with their tongue in cheek "you believe whatever the government says in regards to an ongoing commentary on Trump, then I am going to call that out.

It's not a derail that you require an explanation to understand this.

Let me know if you need additional information.

He literally just started a war in another country two months ago by himself with no other branch of govt involved and you think he is not the face of our govt?

You don't get to chase people off a thread because you don't understand government.

So you are saying regarding Iran that only Trump speaks for government? Cause if so, Schumer, Jeffries and the others need to STFU.

And Congress has been involved in voting multiple times to allow Trump to keep going.

You are correct in that the judiciary has not spoken, at least not at the SCOTUS level.

And there will be political fallout for those who spoke out against and voted against Trump making the United States and the world safer, so it's pretty damn relevant to the OP.

You just don't like it.

They have not. Where did you get that from?

They've spoken against it and used lies and misinformation in doing so.

Next they will be mad the Gay Ayatollah is dead and label Trump a homophonic..

The political fallout and negative economic impact is going to be huge if the Hormuz Strait remains closed much longer. Inflation and the big increases in gasoline, diesel, fertilizer, and food prices will affect every American who isn't wealthy. Many thousands of farmers were already in financial trouble. This war will be the thing that pushes them into bankruptcy.

I missed the 2nd part of your question.

Quote:

It so happens there have been plenty of votes. Do all these folks also own the war in Iran? (please note these were votes to stop the war, so you have to reverse the signs to get the supporters)

  • Senate: At least 45 attempts by April 2026 (e.g., votes failing ~47-52 or 47-53, mostly party-line with Rand Paul often the lone GOP supporter and John Fetterman the lone Democrat opposing). Democrats have forced near-weekly votes in some periods.
  • House: Multiple corresponding votes (e.g., failing 212-219 in early March, 213-214 in mid-April). Some very close margins.
I think you vastly underestimate, as many do, the support for the actions in Iran.

Looks like bipartisan support actually. Under your bizarre fixation on who speaks for government can only be POTUS, it looks like you ignore Senator Fetterman (D-PA) and others speaking out in support of it.

There's rising urgency within Trump's orbit to find a way out of the conflict as time ticks toward the midterm elections. The war has taken a significant toll on the president's approval rating as voters feel the economic squeeze, and Republicans are anxious that they'll suffer the consequences come November.

US gas prices have topped $4.50 a gallon on average and are likely to rise higher as Iran maintains its grip on the strait, a major oil thoroughfare. Inflation is picking up at a concerning pace, exceeding Americans' wage gains in April for the first time in three years.
Quote:

And while the broader stock market is largely holding onto its gains, corporate leaders have grown more insistent behind the scenes as they press Trump and his advisers to find a resolution.

"They just want the war over," said one Trump adviser who recently spoke with Wall Street executives, who characterized the overarching message as "just hurry up."
I wonder what Trump's next move will be. Probably we will know by Monday.

Short of crowning Iran the Supreme Monarch of Hormuz ... what options does Trump have not listed below?

  • Maintain both the blockade and the quasi-ceasefire.
  • Maintain the blockade and start Epic Fury 2.0

Who were the named sources for the article? Or is it another opinion piece with "those familiar with something this or that"?

Some rando on X has exponentially more cred than an MSM article of unknown sourcing.
