Israel is occupying the southern part of Lebanon, a sovereign nation. Hez is responding to that. Israel should not be trying to annex land of another country under the guise of "defending itself". They can blow up civilian apartment buildings in Beirut from Tel Aviv.

And the end goal is Israeli expansion. Why would Lebanon support that? Unchecked, they'll be in Syria soon.

The Lebanese PM/President? If so, I would suspect they think Hezbollah's the only way to make an Israeli occupation/annexation of south Lebanon too costly for Israel - without inviting expansive bombing on the entire country if their military gets formally involved.

I'm sure Lebanon would love Hezbolah out, consider their government is largely Christian - their president must be Christian. But wanting hezbolah out is not the same as welcoming the killing of civilians.

I think Trump is forcing Bibi to sit down for once. Which is crazy to think about. I'm not sure a US president has told Israel what to do so forcefully in at least 30-40 years.
