92.13% Trump 2024

Montgomery was 72% Trump, but that equated to ~220k votes.

Need Tony Gonzales to either get knocked out or pushed to a run off for it to be an incredibly great night.

Gonzales should've dropped out. Once the records regarding his actions with his secretary that committed suicide get released, he's getting the George Santos treatment and his own party will toss him.

****ing POS.

Anyone other than Herrera probably would have won.

Operation Chaos?

The fact that a crazy person like her wasn't throttled by more votes is a minor miracle. Especially with a voting base that loves to make white men the boogeyman.

If Trump endorses in the runoff, he will endorse Paxton

That rule is unfair because it discriminates against the stupid and the dead.

Runoff or not, Cornyn is done. We are done with ****ing RINOs

I'd bet a lot of the Hunt voters will go with Cornyn.

If they were looking to get rid of him, but had been okay with Paxton, then Paxton would have won it outright tonight.

It will really matter who turns out, and if Trump endorses one or the other.

We'll see. I'm not convinced.

Cornyn was on the ticket. They could have voted for him.

Seems like they were looking for something other than Cornyn.

I agree that a Trump endorsement would carry some weight.

This is all good news for the midterms. The quiet majority is all in no matter what those lefty polls say.

In my precinct, the republican vote outnumbered the democrat vote 4-1. I pointed out to my wife, there were 18 voting booths for the republicans and only 6 for the democrats. I know, that's only 3-1, but the lines told a much larger story, they were 4 or 5 to 1.

Serious question though -I've not researched much at all but on the surface closed primaries seem like a good idea. Has this been discussed? I know Abbott and Cornyn are opposed and want to keep the open primaries…

All this race-baiting racist does is run her dumb mouth, so this isn't a shocker. Thankfully we shouldn't hear from her until the next race-baiting racist Democrat appoints her to some important position.

The dumbest part is that if anything, republicans crossed over and voted for her!

Cornyn with a big night. This morning before the voting started Paxton was a 83% to 17% favorite to win the R nomination. Currently, as I type this, Cornyn is now a slight favorite at 52% to 49% over Paxton. That is an enormous move by Cornyn when the votes started being counted.

I think Cornyn probably gets more of the Hunt vote than Paxton unfortunately. But howmuch of the Cornyn vote tonight are Dem general voters?

So, I am admittedly ignorant on this race. I know Crenshaw was once a darling and then the whole SNL thing happened. But, admittedly I have not followed him for several years since I do not live anywhere close to his district.

what caused him to fall out of favor?

Probably not a huge number. Democrats had a race this time they really cared about, so that would mean fewer crossover voters.

It's very difficult to unseat a powerful incumbent with money and name recognition in a state where his party dominates. Especially when his main challenger has baggage.

I'm ready for Cornyn to go, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

I voted for Hunt. Cornyn needs to go and Paxton is a scumbag. I probably won't bother voting in the runoff for them.

I'm kinda with you. Voted Hunt. Don't like Cornyn. But I also don't like the idea of the party having to spend millions of dollars propping up Paxton against Jim Crow Talarico.

Don't know that I have been this torn about a runoff ever.
