Edited my OP, for those that haven't been following the news. The "imminent threat" claim was about a plot to attack the US, not their ambitions to build a nuke and one day use it.
I know everyone likes to move goal posts and conflate the two different arguments. This thread is about the "imminent threat of Iran attacking the US". Its the equivalent of "Saddam has WMDs"...it was never "Saddam wanted to one day aquire WMDs".

The nuke issue wasn't just discussed immediately, but it has been discussed for years, decades even…. And to act like that isn't the case is being as dishonest as the dems when they flat out lie about the SAVE act.

For rational people to believe that Iran is an imminent threat they would simply have to take Iran at their word and believe the same regime that is willing to murder their own people and publically hang their own people might simply be in and of itself an imminent threat. This is going to be seen as a failure if there isn't regime change. We aren't putting boots on the ground so it will be up to the Iranian people to do it. The problem is most of those willing to do that died when they started rioting in the streets and it wasn't coordinated with our bombing. Bombing is going to have to continue until the people of Iran can take the regime on in the streets. If you thought Iran was an imminent threat a few weeks ago then you certainly should think they will be one of you leave and don't finish the job.

The head of DNI confirming the existence of an imminent threat would be sufficient. She refused to do that yesterday. There would be no reason to punt on that if she believed there was an imminent threat of attack on the US. Its actually pretty alarming she didnt corroborate Trumps justification.
