I think both are committed to their political philosophies but not what you would consider traditional evangelical Christians. Trump seems like he's getting closer given all the influence he's had around him since running for office. He didn't seem particularly religious when he was just a celebrity.

Talarico seems very shallow, fitting his religious views around his politics. He sounds more like a philosopher than someone with a personal relationship with Christ.

Neither are people I would look to for Biblical counsel or example.

Ok, he is talking about military action here against a terrorist regime and we are in the middle of the conflict. I won't defend Trump's words. I was one of the harshest critics of him during the primaries and was a big DeSantis guy. Reality is though we are committed and fighting the worst terror regime on the planet, it's either play to win or not. Certainly if we don't succeed it will be disastrous for the country and less importantly the GOP. That's just how the world works. Sometimes you have to pick which side of the Spanish Civil War you want to be on. Franco was terrible in many ways but he was far superior to the alternative.

Ironic. You and I and a few others were adamant DeSantis backers during the primary and caught hell for it by some of the very same people trashing Trump on this tread. Now they're teaming up with posters with left to far left posting histories. Weird times.
