My point however, stands. Both Biden and Trump are/were old and clearly showing signs of mental illness and decline. Both made atrocious hires. Some incompetent, others just plain political statements.

Were Biden's hiring of two Trans (DHHS & Energy) made because of their immense qualifications? No. After Levine's questioning by the Senate, she should have been kicked to the curb and had her medical license revoked.

And how many appointee's has Trump made that he's fired because they couldn't do their job properly and or embarrassed him? For instance. Noem, whose ideology fit beautifully within his cabinet, was totally incompetent.

As a small business owner, the only thing I care about is how they do their job………period. And I love hiring people who have the intelligence to question things if they think a mistake is being made. One of the greatest failings of the last two administrations, in my opinion, is that they have surrounded themselves with identical minded people who function as nothing more than sycophants.

Hell……..I'm in my 60's, but even I want to see some bright minded younger people step up to the plate. Tired of grumpy old men whose speech sounds like a nursing home patient with a urinary tract infection.

But we aren't willing to have a conversation about why most leaders in both parties just want to get elected and not try to fix anything. For some reason, that is acceptable behavior...but Trump saying mean things sends people into a frenzy. We have the wrong priorities. Too many people only care about public demeanor and not what actually impacts policies and our lives.

Trump, with all his issues and combative behavior, has managed to get more things done...even factoring in the typical bad decisions or failed policies that you see with every administration. And he's broken basically every social norm you can break for an executive leader.

No, I just think people see these critiques not coming from a genuine place or actual concern for faith...when you consider for how many years elected officials and past administrations have said things or supported policies that mock Christian beliefs. In fact, it's been the opposite in the past...where people of faith on this board who question the ethics of a particular policy are mocked as paranoid simpletons.

But now is the moment in time where some feel the need to be vigilant about defending Christianity.

I don't blame people for being skeptical. This just feels like the typical 'gotcha' political games we see with every passing year.

If it's from a genuine place, good, and I hope that standard is finally held to both sides. I'm just not optimistic that it will be though.

The occasional Obama thread is a drop in bucket to the number of Trump threads 3-4 years after he wasn't in office though. It's a whole different level of obsession. Though I will say, when I first got here years ago during the GWB Administration, the hate for him is basically gone. They all moved on to Trump. It will be interesting to see if that happens with the next Republican administration. Most likely. GWB was once considered the worst leader ever on here by some as well.
