So many people that don't follow Christ and think Trump is a Russian agent, are angry that someone they detest, didn't quote the Bible right, even though thought the speaker wasn't quoting the Bible, and use a snippet from a Russian news network that gives you no other context?

Just another day in the World and Internet.

Anyone that critiques Trump or his admin doesn't follow Christ and thinks Trump is a Russian agent? Is that what we are going with?

Learn to read.

What we have here is a 4 page list of complete dumbasses who fall for anything if they think it embarrasses Hegseth or Trump.

Hegseth knows what it is...

So basically every liberal and critic of Hegseth on this thread about this "prayer" was wrong and will now own up to being wrong and fell for russian misinformation?

LOL, we know they won't.

And just like that, no liberal will be back to respond to this topic…like a fart in the wind, gone.

It's the exact game plan these fools have run with for over a decade now. Trump, or in this case one of his associates says something, and media or foreign actors frame it to represent something else. Charlottesville is a prime example.

I would say Hegseth has overseen the prosecution of the military actions in Venezuela and Iran pretty well. He's also run off a ton of leftist riff-raff and gotten the military focus back to winning wars and protecting this country.

And he doesn't go AWOL like his predecessor Lloyd Austin.

If you'll notice, the "passage" he quotes is CSAR 25:17 and not Ezekiel 25:17.

The prayer, which is an obvious rip on the Pulp Fiction quote (which is also an obvious rip on a quote from the Japanese martial arts movie Bodyguard Kiba) wasn't made by Hegseth. It was made by one of the CSAR rescue teams before the Iranian rescue mission. It's clearly a parody and is something well in line that you'd expect from servicemen.

Should Hegseth be using it in a prayer meeting/sermon? Probably not. But it's not like he doesn't know what it is.

I think you give him way too much credit. Just sayin.

Uhhh….nobody thinks you're more intelligent than him. Nobody.

I love Hegseth, but this is a bad look.

Even really smart Mo-Fos make mistakes. This one is kinda innocuous, but embarrassing. Not a big deal at all, he just needs to fire his speechwriter for letting AI find him/her a "prayer" to fit his speech without doing some fact checking.

Yep. Who the hell let him do this?

lol, no mental gymnastics needed, Hegseth knew what it was and didn't claim in was an actual bible verse. Congratulations on falling for the Russian disinformation.

Watching liberals try to 'fact-check' a CSAR parody is like watching someone try to explain a joke to a brick wall. They're so desperate for a 'gotcha' moment that they've accidentally wandered into a Bible study. Next, they'll be shocked to learn that the 'Book of Armaments' from Monty Python isn't actually in the Old Testament either.

How is it a psyop?

It is still a misquoted Bible verse from Pulp Fiction that was reappropriated by CSAR guys.

It is still dumb that a person of Hegseth's stature unironically used this in a prayer.

He literally quoted the CSAR's version, not pulp fiction. He was honoring them. That's why the rank and file military love Hegseth.

He just gets it and speaks their language.

So………..we've stooped so low, the only comeback has been "you should see how bad the other side is."

Here's an idea.

We elect non octogenarians, without some form of mental illness, who can hire a competent and professional cabinet and staff.

No hires who are completely out of their depth. No hires that make political statements at the expense of competency (and that was directed at both Biden & Trump).

Maybe then we can stop with the "your side is worse than my side" BS.

And when we hire Gen Z'ers to run the circus, they shouldn't be married to octogenarians either.

I was just pointing out the irony of the saying "and pray with me" before reciting a "scripture" that borrows from the monologue a hitman uses to commit murder at a worship service at the Pentagon. It was just a little disorienting, my apologies. Washington is a confusing place, has been for the better part of a decade. Historically religious looking figures look like Red Cross doctors, Catholic politicians saying the pope is "soft on crime", deciding we no longer need international allies, etc

You can word a prayer any way you want with whatever you want.

The point of Russian post, which liberals on this thread fell for, was that Hegseth thought the pulp fiction verse was word for word from the bible

A prayer can borrow from whatever it wants. And he borrowed it from a rescue team that saved a pilot, not directly from pulp fiction.

But make sure you "ironically" leave that out.

He didn't misquote a damn thing. Do you know what misquoting means?
