Those voicemails are crazy. Basically, Dolphins veterans just let this psycho carry the preseason hazing thing way too far.

Rookie hazing is one thing, buying a dinner and what not. However, Martin is a 2nd year player who was extorted with intimidation to put money toward a Vegas trip he wasn't going on. Some may say he is a "weak person," but that is absolutely no excuse for Incognito to do what he did. Incognito say a mark and took advantage of him

I'm not excusing this POS or his actions but at what point does a grown-ass man playing in the NFL take-up for himself? This is almost like some kind of high school bs. Martin should have broken his foot off in Incognito's ass.

Other vets should have stepped in. They let Incognito do this and Martin chose not to fight back to avoid a locker room rift. Those Miami vets must be *******s. Not just Incognito.

Martin's in a no-win situation. He's been targeted and any attempt to make waves would just put the target more squarely on him. Playing at a position where you're supposed to be in sync with the rest of the OL, I'd imagine he felt fighting back would have caused even more problems.

Agree with the last couple of posts. It's easy for some internet pansies to claim what they'd do in Martin's situation, but there is a bigger situation to consider in how someone would react to this kind of behavior. Incognito is clearly a nut.

To be quite honest, I was shocked he landed on Miami's roster when he did. He's had a black mark on his file his whole life and it's because of things like this. I'm surprised anyone will take a chance with him. It was multiple things that got him kicked off the team at Nebraska, then it was multiple things when he tried to get on the team at Oregon after a week. Incognito is a POS and this doesn't shock me one bit.

Just from my insight from Hard Knocks, I'd also label the Miami head coach is one giant limp dick that is incapable of handling something like this. It took Martin taking leave and the entire situation hitting the media for anything to happen about it. He strikes me as the type of uncle that you wouldn't leave your kid alone with.

He was part of their leadership council too. Yikes.

IMO, Philbin has a lot to answer for in this situation. Incognito was a member of the Dolphins 6 member players council. I watched Hard Knocks last year and to see that you would have thought this was the last place something like this would have happened.

How exactly does a creep like Incognito end up on this committee? The team leadership and coaching staff failed in this situation. It is not possible that nobody knew this was going on.

When I read about the lunchroom incident it sounded like something that goes on with a bunch of Jr. High girls, not an NFL team. What an embarrassment for what used to be a great franchise.

Danny, the entire Dolphin's organization seems lost to me. You have a head guy that's riding off his grandfather's coat tail and history of putting together the '85 Bears that's incapable of putting together a team (letting Bush and Long go are prime examples), and a head coach that while respected in the NFL, seems to have zero control over his team. They just seem like a joke to me and I can see why they haven't been able to even sniff a Super Bowl for a while.

I watched Hard Knocks as well and disagree entirely, at least from a coaching staff perspective. Philbin struck me as a WEAK personality.

I'm not going to lie, I can see from Hard Knocks why the poster in the image above says to drug test Philbin. Dude seemed high 24/7.
