ESPN is cracking me up. People like Darren Woodson are saying Incognito will never play in the NFL due to this report. Due these morons not remember that the Dolphin players sided with Incognito over Martin or do they not care?

I swear with reporters you have wonder if they are stupid or just dishonest? The media today is all about sensationalism. Facts and objectivity do not matter.

It's no wonder Americans get more dumb with each passing day.

If incognito did not have the reputation he does on the field, I don't believe this would be as much blow back on him, however he is an ass and a dirty player so he comes off much worse.

It's not sensationalism, there is a chance he won't play because no one wants this crap in their locker room. Organizations knew what Incognito was about before the incident. Now add this, and it's something they don't want on or off the field.

Lastly, the players can side with who ever they want, they aren't the ones writing the check or making the decisions to sign this guy.

What about Pouncey? Is he never going to play again? Or is Sherman never going to coach O Line again?

I'm not saying Incognito isn't a nut. He kind of is.

But why does the media get worked up over trash-talking in a locker room, while pretty much turning a blind eye to rape allegations against a Heisman trophy winner? Is it white guilt?

Reporters today just can not be objective and report the news. Everything is sensationalized. It's like listening to hysterical little girls.

Okay, so it doesn't matter what the players say. All that matters is what some pencilneck says in his report after selectively pulling up text messages.

Yeah, that's going to make for real comraderie with players. Lol

All I can say is read the report. There is joking around like I said then there is just things or lines you just don't cross. I grew playing football and basketball and we knew things were off limit..

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Turner, the OL coach, doesn't lose his job.

BTW, the Heisman guy was investigated(sarcasm). That was a joke in itself.

Yeah the report in its entirety is interesting after reading through.

Everyone knows sports organizations are not white-collar workplace type of environments.

However, hopefully this will get organizations and the league to at least come up with some black and white lines can't be crossed, period.

The Saints and the bounty program(and whatever became of it), stories like Dez Bryant and paying for dinner/hazing, this incident, Michael Sam....it all sounds like the perfect time for the league and the owners to nut up and come up with some very straight forward rules of conduct and start taking control of the lockerrooms at least when it comes to harassment, conduct, gambling, etc.

An offensive line unit can build chemistry amongst each other without mandatory meetings at strip clubs, blatant hazing, mandatory vegas trips, and singling you out if you don't want to go, etc.

However, just like there is room in the NFL for a guy like Sam, there's room for guys like Incognito. All NFL players can adjust to new regulations and act accordingly and should be given the ability to do so. Incognito has long been a product of an environment and culture that is prevalent in locker rooms around the league. If he's willing to adjust then he should be welcome back.

So now we want to fire Turner too. Lol

This board is like the general board with its endless entertainment.

And forgive me with siding with the players. They were much closer to the situation than Wells. If they said Incognito and Pouncey, and I guess Turner now, crossed the line, then I would take notice. However, they all said just the opposite.

I really don't care what some attorney says or what some guy that sat on the bench of his JV teams has to say. I might as well listen to one of the women on The View.

So the conclusion is that Incognito is an a-hole. Something that was widely known before the investigation.

How is tons of reporting "turning a blind eye"?

Bunk,

Agree..

I will say this and then I am done commenting, an nfl locker room is a workplace, not a fraternity house.

Agbeliever,

I never said I wanted him fired. I said he could lose his job over all this.. Try reading what I wrote.

Leave it to me to bring truth and facts, right UMichAg.

I'm sorry but anyone that has much faith in the media today is not very bright. It's all about sensationalism and political correctness.

You think the media would be all over Incognito if he was black? And you think the media would have ignored the facts in the Winston rape case if he was white?

But hey, it is entertaining to watch I must admit.

If I was a NFL GM, I sign Igcognito as soon as possible. He was always a pro bowl talent, but now you get to add chip on his shoulder to the mix. He is going to have a sick year.

Seriously dude, get some help and keep your religious & political rants off of football other, A&M football, entertainment, etc boards. It's amazing the mods haven't banned you yet.

I really try to refrain from making generalizations, but anyone supporting or glamorizing Incognito is lacking sense.

I am not surprised to see cousin Jimmy involved in this deal.

The organizational culture is rotten.

I agree that the couple posters on here who glamorize RI have some issues. But I do think JM is by no means free from blame.

I wouldn't want either player on my team at this point.
Iowaggie

You might say you don't want either play on your team at this point, but my guess is that if a GM is choosing one, they are choosing Incognito.

It is not glamorizing Incognito to say that you would want him on your team because my guess is that there isn't an NFL team where Incognito's "crime" of crude talk is the worst violation among all the team.

I would love to cheer for a team of saints and not sinners, but I mostly would like to cheer for a Super Bowl champion.

This is the league of dog killers, rapists, drug dealers, murderers, leagues of illegitimate children, and we're talking about Icognito. I'd say the NFL owes him some money for being a distraction from much more serious issues.

Just not something I can believe. An NFl locker room is just not a very large organization.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but hasn't nearly every person in the Dolphin locker room thought Martin and Incognito were friends? Like best friends?

From the Wells report:
quote:

"After interviewing Coach Philbin at length, we were impressed with his commitment to promoting integrity and accountability throughout the Dolphins organization—a point echoed by many players….. We are convinced that had Coach Philbin learned of the underlying misconduct, he would have intervened promptly to ensure that Martin and others were treated with dignity."

The report also said Philbin confronted Turner after the details came out and told him the players' alleged conduct “better not be happening.”

Pretty good statement. Personally, think he's over his head..

His statement this morning was completely opposite of what he was saying 2 months ago. Pretty interesting how stern he was and talks of change and accountability.

I don't what changed. Maybe the possibility of him being fired. Who knows..

Richie has gone of the deep end. Jeez...

quote:
“Oh that was that was just me venting, that was self expression, that’s a piece of art. The happiest day of my life was when I got that car and now the second happiest day will be when I donate it to charity,” Incognito said. “The Ferrari is a story unto itself, the Ferrari is one entity, but I will tell you this the Ferrari is going to be for sale through my mission which is helping the brotherhood, whatever brotherhood it is.”
