Colts have to be one of the only teams to ever start 8-2 and miss the playoffs, right?

I normally don't ***** too much about announcers, but Jesus tap dancing Christ, Eisen and Warner have been total dog*****

OK, Philip Rivers, do your thing tomorrow.

He just said for all the announcers here on the NFL network … and I swear I thought he was gonna say we are totally bummed and pissed off that Houston won.

Philip Rivers came out of a 5 year retirement for nothing.

Colts win, we tie Jax for first and have the tie breaker

Eagles win and we tie Buffalo for the first WC and have that tie breaker

Need ? Nothing . Want Jax to lose tho to have a shot at Division title .

I gotta give Rivers much credit . Out of shape … several years removed from NFL … still balling . The guy is pretty hard not to like imo.

These announcers are claiming they're not bashing the Texans, but they are. Saying they didn't earn it. But they had no problems with the penalties against the Texans.

I would assume the Jags to lose so we can win the division with a W over the Colts unless there's some benefit from being on the road due to matchups in the first round I'm missing.

I do wish the Texans had gotten more touchdowns though.

They started out so well.

Oh my dear lord, the post game is complaining about the refs and they should let the players play. And the Texans should have earned it and not been given it. HOLY ****ING ****

Did they say the illegal contact was on the inside route and not the outside WR? Were the announcers looking at the wrong DB? At a bar and can't hear. Thanks in advance.

The problem is the Colts are now eliminated, so them beating Jax tomorrow might be tough.
But also should mean they'll be no problem for the Texans next week.
That would mean we'd need Tennessee to shock the world to get the #3 spot.

So right now, it's Bills #5, Texans #6, Chargers #7. That would put us at Jacksonville in the first round.
But the Bills have the Eagles tomorrow and the Eagles are still trying to move up. A win by Philly and the Texans are up to #5 with the possibility of playing at Pittsburgh in the wild card assuming the Steelers hang on to win the North.
Our defense vs. Old Man Rodgers would be a really favorable matchup.

Yep, heard it and it was absolutely hilarious…they completely memory holed the exact situation that led to the TD that even pulled them within one score…also the other sack that was negated on that drive where Allen slipped and fell in the end zone.

I wouldn't mind the 7 seed to go to New England and beat them with their weakest schedule in the NFL, not to mention any win against Vrabel is a good one. Ever since he dressed up as Bum and they wore the Oilers uniforms he can suck a dick. I enjoyed that win.

Eat a d-, Harbaugh. Love to see that weird ass cheater and sexual predator enabler get his ass handed to him by Houston for the second year in a row. Maybe "ass handed to him" is a bit strong but that's two upsets in as many years by the Texans.

Assuming we don't win the division that's the matchup I'd want too. Both Love and Lamar are out for tonight's game.

Love due to a Bear illegal hit to the head that cost DE Austin Booker his second fine of $5,818 for such conduct.

https://athlonsports.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/nfl-announces-punishment-decision-jordan-love-injury

Booker signed a 4 year 4.36 million dollar deal in '24,
14-15 more of those sort of hits could make a league minimum $ type of player realize he's been penalized almost 1/10th of his salary if they all happened in the same season.

He'll think twice before eliminating the opposing team's best player in that fashion again, likely to savor it.

You just have to hope the yards penalized matter situationally as far as preventative measures currently in place.

Someone made mention on twitter about everyone freaking out about Eisen. He said, Eisen has always been this terrible but most people don't notice because he's doing a 9am euro game most times.

Seriously, that was so awful. Classic case of hey this guy is famous so lets put him on the broadcast. Doesn't matter that doing a daily radio show and announcing a game are not even the same fields.

Texans Bingo Update

Much like the AFC itself, the race to win Texans Bingo is coming down to the final week of the season. Two more squares activated today: Texans make the playoffs and Nico > 1,100 yards receiving. Here's where we are right now and what's possible Sunday and in Week 18.

Things on the Bingo board that can still happen that were picked by at least 1 person:
Texans win the AFC South
Nico <> 8 TD receiving(currently at 6)
Cowboys <> 7.5 wins (currently at 7)
Texans play/don't play an OT game
The Browns / The Field are the worst team in the NFL. The Giants and Raiders are currently 2-13. Cleveland, Arizona, the Jets, and Tennessee are all 3-12.
Texans get a punt return TD
Texans get a kickoff return TD
Nico <> 80 receptions (currently has 71)
Bills get the #1 seed (still possible)
Derrick Henry finishes #1 out of the 4 picks for rushing yards: He's playing tonight and entered the game 3 yards ahead of Bijan Robinson
Texans get the #3 seed
Texans get 19+ interceptions (remarkably, they currently have 18)
Jahmyr Gibbs rushing TD leader: currenltly leads with 13 through 16 games; actually Henry has tied him tonight.

Here is the current leaderboard, along with how many possible spaces each person has left.

1. wessimo: 10 total / 4 open

So clearly a lot of people still have a shot. The tie-breaker we all picked at the beginning of the year was who has the best record in the AFC and what record is. Everyone who picked Ravens/Chiefs doesn't have a shot at the tie-breaker, but 13 picked Buffalo. The Bills are currently 11-4. Several people picked them between 12-5 and 15-2, so it will definitely be a photo finish.
