Currently snowing, though it wasn't in the forecast. Been getting on average 1-2"/week since Thanksgiving with a couple 4-6" dumps. Probably 1-2 feet on the ground right now after a good bit melted off a few days ago. Forecast calls for little snow this weekend but highs around -10.

Ours is getting a little bit better. The freeze line looks like it is moving north and Bell Co is going to be right on the sleet/rain line.

Forecast has become significantly more favorable for Austin area over the past 24 hours. Trending in the direction of being a complete non-issue for people in this area

We are taking 8 boys south of SA to cull doe this weekend. I was worried about leaving my wife and daughter in Bell Co where we ALWAYS lose power in ice. But I'm feeling better now.

I mean. We are going no matter what. Its just less forgiveness I will need to ask for. Hopefully

Looking to get nasty up here in Rogers, AR. Sunday evening's low is now at -18. All models I've seen have shown freezing rain followed by anywhere from 10-23" of snow on top of that. Already beat all the panic shoppers at the grocery store. Driveway and sidewalks will be treated tomorrow. I'll be set just as soon as I stock up on booze.

What's the local weather saying about areas around Monticello?

got gas for our small generator in case we need to keep the fridge and freezer going. other than that we've got plenty of food, some water and gas fire place and stove if **** really hits the fan.

Monticello is going to get pounded with ice. Horribly. There was an ice storm in 1994 that crippled a lot of the state. I'm from Helena, so not too terribly far from there. I'm hearing it could be a repeat of 1994. Prayers up for my hometown as there is a lot of poverty there and many residents will have a very tough time.

NOAA is saying -3. I'm north of you and it says -3 for us as well. Now you have me worried.

It sure does! Yesterday we 65 mph wind gust and a tiny bit of snow, but this arctic air we're getting every weekend has gotten old real fast..
