All my "coldest I've ever been" moments have been in NY and Long Island during wintertime. There is something about the Atlantic wind. It's not the good kind of cold

They're calling for snow this weekend. I'll believe it when I see it.

It's 7:30 p and I'm back at the hotel. Freezing. These people are crazy. No wonder they are weird.

Yeah it's the kind of cold where you can feel your bones getting cold.

Conroe is 40 miles from Houston and 200 from Dallas. It may not be Houston, but it is the same distance from Houston that McKinney is from Dallas. If you talk to someone in Tulsa who is going to McKinney, they'll likely say Dallas.

This is our place yesterday. Has been over a week since the 10+ inches fell. Have had lows at -3&-4 pure temp. Have only been above freezing a couple of times this week. Was 6 this morning. Snow just isn't melting at all.

Oxford, Miss got the worst of the last storm. Son told me today lots of his high school friends at Ole Miss are in College Station for the last week as their school is closed thru Feb 8 due to power and infrastructure being out.
So the party went to Aggieland.

And I use water conditioner salt to treat some critical areas of my drive thru. Really wanted to go on my HEB to witness the carnage for myself, but parking was really bad so I opted for the Ace Hardware store instead.

I wonder if in olden times, you know, like before toilet paper, if during an event folks rushed out into their fields and gathered up all the corn cobs and stacked them in the outhouse's??
