In any case, there was a wide selection of grocery stores back in the early 1990s and not so much now; but I'm not sure what, if any, would be an objective improvement.

A Phoenicia Bakery would be incredible, but it's about as likely as the town being busy during the holidays and the Brazos river running clear…..
I'd love a Whole Foods and/or Central Market. I'm afraid Central Market is just a fantasy since even Houston only has one, but I do think BCS could support a Whole Foods or maybe a Sprouts.

I've had people on the west coast ask me about Santa's wonderland. I didn't know it was that popular. They should convert it to Halloween town before Christmas. College kids love Halloween.
Was last there 2 seasons ago and we ran into people who specifically traveled down for Santa's Wonderland from Iowa, Virginia and one other state pretty damn far away. I knew it had some national acclaim but couldn't imagine planning a family trip just to go see it.
That said, it is absolutely awesome and the pure magic for the kids...and rough on my wallet.

He tried doing a bluegrass jamboree a few years ago and it was a colossal flop. I think that he's staying in his own lane now.

Portillo's is planned for the former Taco Cabana site on Texas, but I'm not sure if it's been inked yet.
I agree, but remember the clientele is on a "student" budget. Fadis is a bit outside the budget i would guess.
