ETA: It looks like quite the party across the street.
What is that and why weren't we invited??

There would be much bigger issues since I think that opening in the middle of the building is a pedestrian-only breezeway.Captn_Ag05 said:
I predict there will be a lot of wrecks from people zipping around the curve from University to Wellborn and hitting a car slowing down to turn into that garage.

College Station' draft of their long term Northgate plans. Final plan to be released later this summer. Lots of good talking points within it.

No parking in Northgate
Lanes have been eliminated (temporarily) for construction with fencing.
Interesting.

Saw this on Facebook. Looks like the 350 Church Ave project by Parallel is getting underway. The permits for the cranes were recently issued, so I'd expect to see them sometime in the next couple of weeks.
The road is in such bad condition, I hope they repave it when all this work is done. I also never realized how the back of Tipsy Turtle looks so much like a seedy motel.
Sure is nicer than the 500 square foot 1930 wood frame dwelling me and my buddy lived in for a few years, But I suspect the monthly rental is more than $65/month,mason12 said:

The College Station Planning and Zoning Commission voted to greenlight the next step for a major housing and retail project across from Texas A&M's campus.
At a planning and development meeting, a preliminary plan and waiver request for the Culpepper project on the corner of University Drive and South College Avenue was approved.
What that means is, a road they needed to develop is longer than the city allows, and they needed permission to proceed with their plans.
Currently, cranes stand where Hurricane Harry's once was. The first phase of the 10-acre student housing and retail project is already under construction and will add nearly 1,000 student beds.
The development, also called "Legacy Point," will eventually connect Century Square to the Northgate area. To do so, city planning staff presented a waiver request at Thursday's meeting that would make the connection of Church Ave. off University Dr. to South College Ave. possible.
"The next steps are that the property will have to go through the subdivision process and then through the site plan as well as the non-residential architectural application prior to building permits being approved for this development," said College Station Senior Planner Jeff Howell.
In total, the project is expected to bring more than 2,800 beds and 50,000 square feet of new retail and entertainment space over the next several years.
