Jacksboro High School (NW of Fort Worth) just took a direct hit from a tornado about 20 minutes ago. Reports of extreme damage. This would have been right about time school would let out for the day.

My brother's girlfriend's family just saw the Decatur one. Went just north of them but they couldn't tell if it was touching down or if it was just a long funnel.

We're in the alliance area and the sky to the south of us looked very very green and I thought there was going to be a tornado siren going off and sure enough there was and we sheltered but now it's over no hail or anything no damage no sign of tornado touchdown by us but it skirted very close to us

Never did get that hail guard.

Storms on us weren't that severe. Sounds like the big cell was a bit more south. Tons of thunder coming out of the south.

I'm guessing a lot of sirens went off when the NWS issued a warning. Warning was a wide area until 7pm that I saw.

Good to remember that sirens are no longer tornado specific. They turn them on for high winds, hail, and tornadoes.

They still strike fear in me when I hear them. Too much time spent in Wichita Falls I suppose.

I'm right in the heart of where Delkus is talking about at Parker and Independence. Dark and fast moving clouds. Didn't see any rotation when I stepped outside.

Us too. We went out to look to see exactly where it was, and it was almost on top of us, so we grabbed the dogs and headed to the closet.
