A foot of rain in Gunter according to one of the Gunter pages. It was bad for a second with a second little couplet looking to form when we drove over to the parents' house after it looked like the Celina storm may have tracked to Gunter.

I believe it!!

Drove back to our house to pick up things for the wife and kids as we are spending the night with my parents and 289/Preston was completely covered and many in town side streets were also. Don't think I'd seen it that flooded since 2015.

Pool to the brim and the backyard can't drain water fast enough. Coming right up to the edge of the house.

Sheltered here in Midlothian but nothing outside of some wind, lots of rain, and lots of lightning as of 11:30 pm. Hopefully that holds.

We live on a pretty steep hill and get a lot of run off from the neighbors - french drains we had put in can't keep up. Have 1/4 inch of water in my bedroom and no way to stop it. Waiting for water remediation company to arrive. In McKinney.

Thanks. McKinney emergency crews had to perform a couple of high water rescues of people stranded in their cars near my house.

That was some of the heaviest downpours I've ever seen.

Tiny intermittent hail in Carrollton and a ton of rain right now.

Same here in castle hills. My puny little four inch rain gauge in the backyard was full!

Not sure our rain total but was an absolute downpour.

On way in to work today noticed apparently half our neighborhood still went ahead and ran their sprinkler systems....

I'm seeing about 2.7" in Prosper/McKinney last night. Sure felt like more.

This is a quarter mile from my house and across the street from McKinney HS. This area floods every time we get a hard rain but this was worse than normal.

Quote:

Also in Collin County, the City of McKinney confirmed that first-responders performed three separate water rescues as a result of flash flooding -- at 1405 Wilson Creek Parkway, at Park View Avenue and Gerry Lane, and at 5001 McKinney Ranch Parkway. Four people in total were safely rescued, city officials confirmed.

Got at least 2 inches looking at my pool. I was awake throughout when it hit. The dog usually doesn't care about storms but he got all up on me for this one. Hail for about 15 minutes.

I don't think I realized how much rain we got until I got out today and saw large debris stuck in guardrails of pedestrian crosswalks that traverse significant feet above some of the large drainage culverts we have here. As in 10-15 feet above the bottom so the water moving must have been incredible.

God help me if I ever let someone pull an inner tube with me in it while they walked next me in 2 feet of water

Saw some broken and uprooted trees on both sides of 174 just south of Joshua this morning. Big tree took out a power line along the road snapping some wooden telephone poles (are those still a thing for telephones?), too.

Yea, that rotation started just north-west of Cleburne, where I live. Sent the wife, kids, and I into the closet. Didn't know if it was going to track our direction or not, but ended crossing the most northern part of town.

The May 2013 tornado took my parents house out by the lake. I went from "that'll never happen to me" before 2013 to over-worried on these things now.

Is this like the hospital bit where they make your ride out in a wheelchair or something?

What's up with this wind? Usually it's a day no longer than two. It's been going since Thursday.

I know - my gatehouse lost some roof tiles as well. And the tennis courts are a mess.

I was unaware that driveway gates were the ultimate sign of success on here, but again, it has been awhile since I thought like the common rabble.
