you guys have never heard them talk about Hacksaw before??!? They talk about him every time they go out to the west coast on a trip...or any time they reference a trip out there. He's been a sports talk guy out in Cali for about 20 years and Rhynes beats them down whenever they are out there by forcing them to listen to him when they are in the car.

I was at Fox Sports Grill this evening (my first G.N.O.)... was lively atmosphere, however trying to get a pint of brew this eve at the bar was brutal (only saw 3 bartenders... they were slammed).

Roundtables were interesting, but only paid attention to a couple sessions. Was cool to see some of the on air talent out and about with the crowd.

Grube's is HIGHLY underrated as to what makes the Hardline so great.

You have just validated that you are indeed in the radio business. You can't stand to hear an opinion different from your own. Rather than engage in an intelligent discussion, you throw stones. Well, in this medium, you can't cut me off just because you don't like what I say.

I did not criticize another's career path. My opinion is simply that "Hardline 2.0", in it's current form, is mediocre. Corby has his talents, and they are not sports talk. He is a great yuck monkey doing bits (the fart game, Obvious Man, Redundant Man of Redundancy, etc. - All pure genius).

The old Hardline with Greggo had a wonderful chemistry. Something is missing now. If it stays in its current form, I do not believe it will be nearly as successful as Hardline 1.0. That's my opinion, and I'm not the only one on this thread that has it.

agree with sixiron. mediocre only when comparing to the hardline with greggo. but still a million times better than any other alternative out there.

my favorite show is still the musers, always has been. mess with that show and i'd be really upset!

oh, and my favorite fake character has to be the fake tiger. the fake juan gonzalez used to be greatness too!

george dunham is the best ticket personality out there.

his ability to be sportsy and do bits, is unmatched in my opinion...just fodder, perhaps, but thought i'd share.

The Emergency Brake of the Week gets my vote for most worn out bit on the Ticket. When they have real meltdowns its pretty funny, but when its just hosts mispronouncing words its incredibly weak. Add to that 95% of all the vote calls not even remotely clever or funny. Ebrake should be put on the shelf and only brought down when they have worthy material.

New ratings news from Barry Horn this morning. I can't recall the last time Galloway beat out the Hardline in any demographic. This was probably a one time issue due to the Cowboys success, but it might cause an overreaction somewhere.

Good news all around for Dallas-Fort Worth's two sports talk radio stations, according to Arbitron ratings released this week for the 2007 fall period. Both stations can thank interest in the Cowboys during their 13-3 regular season.

"The Ticket" KTCK-AM (1310) ranked first in the market in its most sought-after demographic, men aged 25-54. It averaged a 6.0 share. That makes eight consecutive No. 1 finishes. ESPN-FM (103.3) ranked fifth at 3.5.

Among all listeners, The Ticket finished with a 2.8 share (13th in the market). ESPN scored a 2.0 (tied for 18th).

The 2.0 is ESPN's highest rating for a quarter. That's up from a 1.2 in the previous ratings period.

Also of note: ESPN's Galloway & Company earned a 3.5 share among all listeners to top The Ticket's The Hardline, which lost Greg Williams during the ratings period. The Hardline scored a 3.4.
