I listen to 610, and will be in the minority of Texags, but with the majority of Houston.

John Lopez would be on my list.

Nick Wright and Josh Innes are less that desirable.

I don't think he's great for sports talk but I think Greg Koch is a pretty funny dude. His story on the squirter last week had me rolling.

That Josh guy on 610 in drive time is a complete dipsh*t. I literally quit listening to that station because of him.

Last summer I worked in a warehouse as a summer job. We would always text into josh innes' show. The texts would only say josh p.innes. The guy got so fed up with it after about a week and called us all out on air telling us how not funny we were

He's terrible and brings no value to that radio station. Unfortunately there are people that listen to him and that station daily and I can only assume that it's because of the Texans and not the talent.

Has anyone else nearly blown out their speakers after cranking up the volume while tuning in during a ridiculously long Pallilo pause thinking that it was off/low?

Wish Adam Wexler would get back in radio. I get sad seeing him having to resort to being a social media specialist for CSN on the sidelines.

Josh gets a bad rap. I enjoy the show cause it's entertaining and he tells the truth. If you listen to sports talk (anywhere on any station) more than once a day you hear the same stuff on all three shows and by the time afternoon drive comes around the issues/topics are played out.

I do think he was a bad fit with Rich and was much better on his own during the mid-mornings and during times when Rich is out doing Texans stuff.

I don't know, I got pretty sick of him bashing A&M and College Station. He does a lot of stuff in poor taste (playing "God" on the microphone), etc.

Occasionally, he was funny and entertaining, but he crossed the line far too often. He came across as an immature dude that lived in his little Cajun (LSU) bubble and didn't have much perspective elsewhere. Most important, he seemed to have very little real sports knowledge.

Absolutely immature and full of himself. His fights on air with Rich and his fight on air with Frank Calliendo were enough for me to see what kind of absolute dweesh he is.

A few other things:

1 - I've never really cared for Rich Lord. He comes across as a weak type of guy (the best words would be sissy or girly, but that's a bit too negative). He just doesn't seem to think outside the box from a conservative sports mindset. Plus, he's got the t.u. thing going a bit much for me.
2 - Mark Vandemeer has some of the same qualities as Lord, but his real problem is his homerism for the Texans. I mean, I get that he's the voice of the Texans and has to tow the company line, but the constant positive spin is just too much to listen to. I haven't been able to listen to him at all this year. The team needs to be good for him to work.
3 - Charlie Pallilo seems to be really knowledgeable. He's just a bit boring and "I'm always right" at times.
4 - Maybe it's just a function of this year of sports, but the programming has gotten pretty boring across the board lately.

The next 150 days of Houston sports talk will be,

"Who should the Texans draft?"

Yippee. Find a national show or podcast.

I have really taken to the Jay Mohr sports show on 790. It's like a funnier Jim Rome without the ego and driving the same joke into the ground.

Refused to listen to 610 with Josh. I don't like Rich either so I'll stick with Charlie and Michael Berry.

Still pissed I can't listen to Matt Thomas or In the Loop at lunch. Jay Mohr is the worst.

Jay Mohr's show reminds me of a parody of cheesy talk radio with all of the dumb sound effects and "zaniness." Also...it is very annoying when he interviews someone and asks them the same question over and over because he doesn't want their same corporate answer. He beats that to death, never gets a different answer and it's just very uncomfortable.

I like it somewhat because his interviews are never the same as what you hear from every other show.

Maybe some day I'll get bored of it like I did Jim Rome but right now JJ is my favorite show on the air. When he goes into voices with Diamond Dan or Hey Matty back and forth for like 5 mins straight I love it.

ditto, I banned all of 610 because of him, and I do feel like I'm missing out on Seth Payne

I have to switch around throughout the day, but for the most part it looks like this

8am-10am Koch and Kalu / Nick and Lopez / Texags Radio
10am - 2pm MAD radio w/ Meltser and Payne
2pm - Matt Thomas / Palillo

Might actually leave it on 610 if Josh is really leaving, but I either switch to Thomas or turn it off when he goes on. Dude is a complete idiot and half the time he opens his mouth it has absolutely nothing to do with sports. When he finally does talk about sports it usually revolves around LSU, NO Saints, St. Louis Cardinals, etc. (teams nobody here really cares about)

Oh, Laura Reynolds (610 afternoon traffic bimbo) is BY FAR the worst thing about that station.

Read the traffic. It's your job. Lose the freaking attitude. Be helpful to the drivers. That's why they read traffic on the air.

Seriously, she acts like drivers and the traffic is the most annoying part of her life. If it's so annoying, find a different job.

Most people don't/can't listen to sports radio all day. I enjoy listening to actual sports talk on my drive home.

I really like Greg Cook working with ND. They make a great team, but also like the rest of your pairs.
