It depends on the OC situation. No more up and coming OCs, no more ON THE JOB TRAINING, we need someone who's done it and knows what they're doing.

If Spav is he OC after the bowl game then I'll jump on the fire Sumoon train. He did great with the Chavis hire, let's see if he can get an OC worth a damn on board.

I do. Most calling for him to be fired are forming their opinion off of speculation about what goes on inside the program and don't know chit. Like I said in another post..Use your real name if you're going to call for someone to be fired.

I'm now the same as I was during Slocum's last few seasons:

For 10 years, I supported Slocum when people often called for his firing. After blowing the OU game in 2000, I was done defending him. I wasn't yelling for him to be fired, but I was no longer arguing with anyone who wanted him gone. Didn't take long for him to be no more.

I'm now done defending Sumlin. And I get the feeling he's not going to be here much longer either.

I think there are underlying issues that changing the OC isn't going to fix, but I think Sumlin has showed enough that he at least deserves the chance to address those issues, especially considering how expensive the alternative would be.

I'd lose some confidence for sure. But he demoted McKinney after much better offensive performances than this, so I'd be shocked if he didn't make a change.

I still wonder if the McKinney demotion was a last ditch effort by Sumlin to persuade Johnny to stay for one more year??

Count me in the Sumlin camp. The path to success isn't always linear. He's our guy. I'm dissapointed as hell but we're gonna be okay.

I think he deserves criticism for everything the past couple of days, and for not being able to find a solid OC since Kliff. But we would be foolish to fire him right now.
