Give us our three actual rivals: Texas, LSU, Arkansas.

I don't see why it's not possible for us to get Arky. If the idea was to give Arkansas to Oklahoma, why not just give MSST to Oklahoma since OU doesn't have three true rivals in the SEC anyways?

This list I've seen seems to maximize rivalries:

Alabama: AUB, TENN, LSU
Arkansas: TEX, A&M, MIZ
Auburn: BAMA, UGA, MSST
Florida: UGA, TENN, SC
Georgia: FLA, AUB, SC
Kentucky: VAN, SC, MIZ
LSU: BAMA, A&M, MISS
Missouri: OU, ARK, UK
MS State: MISS, AUB, OU
Oklahoma: TEX, MIZ, MSST
Ole Miss: MSST, LSU, VAN
South Carolina: UGA, FLA, UK
Tennessee: VAN, BAMA, FLA
Texas: OU, A&M, ARK
Texas A&M: TEX, LSU, ARK
Vanderbilt: TENN, UK, MISS

Don't tell Pig, you're an Ag. Have them fooled into thinking you're a fan of some other program not named A&M or t.u.

Now, ask them to list which programs they hate the most and order them.

You won't like it. Their reasoning goes back decades ago. They'll mention "game of the century." They played each other when conference championships were on the line, or playing for a national championship was implicated on who won.

I learned this from a Pig over 15 years ago.

One of many reasons I didnt want t.u in the conference or on the schedule. But, here we are, we now have a SWC/Big 12-Lite schedule again

The first goal is to maintain traditional rivalries but the secondary objective has to be competitive balance. I think our three most logical permanent opponents are tu, arkansas and lsu. I think both lsu and arkansas would be considered secondary rivalries and are interchangeable. Playing in Baton Rouge every other year is a competitive disadvantage. Even when LSU is down it's hard to win there. Give me tu(primary rivalry), arkansas(secondary rivalry) and msst(competitive balance choice) as the best permanent opponents for Texas A&M.

October 31, 1903

Is this how you get LSU included in that list? We don't even know if pig will be our third rival either. Even if they are, this is great news because we'll see all 10 of the old guard SEC schools twice every four years.

I have a lot of LSU cousins and they hate Florida more than us, Bama, or especially Ole Miss.

I think that's the problem. Not every fan base is going to be happy. ou only has us and tu. They are going to force State down our throats because of Jackie and Ag school.
