Ole Miss assistants have been told by school, “if you’re going, go now.”
Hope, for the players, cooler heads prevail.
Why should Ole Miss "let cooler heads prevail"? We let ERob coach our team when he had accepted a job with Syracuse, and he spent that time trying to convince the d-line room to all come with him.
Ole Miss can't let the wolves to continue to hang around the hen house. S… or get off the pot if you're a coach at Ole Miss. You're either with me or against me in the world of college football. Especially if you're leaving Ole Miss for LSU.

Between this fiasco, the Jimmy Sexton Bunch's ridiculous narrative on GameDay, Sark's whiny politicking backed by many in the media and A&M's collapse, this has been a clown show of a finish to the regular season.
Lots of big names not exactly covering themselves in glory.
Is there anyone left in the college football world with an ounce of dignity?

I'd go so far as to say the high profile sports is a pretty good reflection of the general movement of American society towards money at all cost, no honor amongst thieves.

This is the worst day Oxford has had since the Emancipation Proclamation.

LSU writers speculating it's being moved back because Kiffin won't be allowed to speak to the Ole Miss team because the meeting last night became so contentious. Kiffin making all kinds of threats about how bad he was going to gut the team of coaches and players since they aren't going to let him coach the playoffs. Just when you think Kiffin couldn't look any douchier.

It sounds like the stopped serious talks w/ Kiffin after LSU entered the picture. They just hired Jon Sumrall.

SIAP, but Kiffin saying he didn't know what he was going to do and had to pray about it is crap. He flat out said in a sideline interview during the Egg Bowl that his people (eg Jimmy Sexton) had been working on this for "weeks". So, this has been going on for a while behind the scenes.
Dude is a snake not that we didn't know that.

Kiffin is a tool and I hope he burns down the house he chooses
But wait a minute, I thought everyone here thought he was the greatest thing this side of Jesus Christ himself and would hike their skirts for him in a second if he came here…….
I've been steadfast all along that he was/is/always will be a colossal d bag. Brilliant offensive mind. But an absolute, intractable jackass
Kiffin has made clear to Ole Miss administrators that he is leaving for LSU, sources tell @YahooSports.
— Ross Dellenger (@RossDellenger) November 30, 2025
LSU’s original proposal to Kiffin, as reported last Friday at Yahoo, was a seven-year deal at more than $90 million - making him near the top of salaries in the country.
An agent sums up the situation in Oxford.

“Only Lane Kiffin would burn a bridge while still trying to stand on it,” source told @On3sports
While funny, the emancipation proclamation was probably the worst day on the 1863 Oxford message boards, but Grant setting the town on fire and then using it as a camp, in 1864, was prolly worse.Panama Red said:This is the worst day Oxford has had since the Emancipation Proclamation.

Lane better hope he wins and wins fast. He picked the biggest pressure cooker in all of college football
Or not. They'll scream and rant if he isn't instantly a playoff team, but he's pretty secure in that contract timeline. LSU has a couple of deep pockets, but the pool is very small. Lane doesn't care if everyone hates him, as long as he gets his money and troll time.rsf0626 said:
