Wish them all to be 1st rounders, albeit unrealistic.

But the maroon kool-aid flows strong, and every year we seem surprised about how our guys drop lower than expected, and/or shocked by how many end up as UDFA's.

Call it a hedge on my 6 to 7. But yeah, I hope I'm wrong for their sakes.
Also didn't notice initially that Bisontis and York had entered, but that's ok.

I feel good about the players we've added from the transfer portal so far, and I am most excited about kicker David Olano from Illinois. I hope Olano is a big upgrade over Randy Bond and Jared Zirkel.

Well we don't need 3 cam coleman types and we don't have to even have 1. We didn't last year and WR was not our issue.

He would be a great to have but if we don't land him it's not the end of the world.

Just talking about the general talent of an all conference level player. We're so young next season we are relying a lot on guys breaking out into roles they've never done before. Getting a Coleman and/or an all SEC DT changes the outcomes of several games.

Tough to say. Very few teams match 1 for 1 with every single player they lose and the portal. It doesn't work that way.

You have to do it via the portal and development of what you have. So you might lose 40 players each offseason via the portal/graduation/medicals, and add 15 via the portal. Then you develop the 55-60 players you return, and continue to recruit. Does the sum of what you have returning, their development, and what you are adding match or exceed what you lost? Some positions maybe yes, some maybe no.

Almost impossible to say as of now and anyone trying to guess, either good or bad, is doing a ton of projection.

But again, and I don't really care if some believe it or not, this staff clearly sought these guys out even before they hit the portal and have hit at an extremely high rate on the guys they targeted. Very obvious to anyone who followed. The only real question is their evaluations, which via the portal have proven to be damn good thus far overall the first two classes.

We still need a couple more pieces. Coleman and a couple DL would go a long ways to making this not really a question. Right now, who knows if we got better or not. Lots of variables there.

The real contenders are putting 10+ into the NFL Draft each year.
Until we're doing that, we're not gonna be real contenders.

This year we'll have a respectable amount get drafted, maybe 6 or 7.
That's pretty good compared to our recent history of 3 to 4.
But it's a far cry from 10+

We are getting more than 6-7 drafted.

Another experienced RB is a must as well. Over his 3 years, RB Owens has 1,090 total rush yards with 8 TDs. And he is injured frequently.

There is no experience behind Owens. Morrow as 170 rush yards. Riden has about 45 rush yards. Thats it.

We're not that young depending on how this thing closes out. 2nd string is a little young, and we still need a couple DL as there's a lot of sophomores there. But if we land even just a few more portal guys that can change. Here's my earliest projections on most likely starters:

Why wouldn't I be? We are hitting on our top prospects and really only lost Theo and Kennedy unexpectedly. But neither have done a ton to be considered a massive loss.

On top of a team that made the playoffs and had a season that ended up top 5 of the last 40 years.

I think a good way to look at it is that we are losing players that didn't start or play very many snaps while we are getting players from other teams that were regular starters or at least have played a lot. I think we are doing great so far, more to come though hopefully.

Per TOS

In our 13 commits. We have landed:

Nine P4 starters, including five from the SEC. All 4 non-P4 players were also starters, and two of the four non-P4 players were All-Conference in 2025.

I don't know if these guys are studs or just solid, but I don't think any of the guys we got are guys their former school wanted to lose. The vast majority were expected to start for them in 2026.

With Miami going to the championship game I feel A LOT better than after our game.

We are closer than us negative Nancy's thought. We MUST get back in and advance next year tho and make a statement against the narrative!

Two high end DT's and we'd be good. Big RB for short yardage would be nice too . Im fine with the current WR's. Add anymore and we lose more. The true freshman WR's will transfer if they don't play. Gregory might be the best player in the class

I'll tell you how I feel at the end of the 2026 season.

Overall very pleased with the portal this year mainly because we did not have many whiffs at all and that tells me the coaches got who they wanted. I'm not going to be like some on here and pretend i know more than our coaches. We had needs that everyone saw and I feel like they addressed them.

I can't complain
