What are your options? You either get back up or you quit.

Me? Don't talk to me about quitting. I'm a poster on Texags. Nothing I write here impacts this program in the slightest. Just like everything you write here means zilch. Talk to the team and ask about the last 6 quarters where they quit.

YOu think they quit in those games? Seriously?

Defense...NO,. Special teams and offense? There's certainly an argument to be made that they regressed and did not play very good ball when it was needed the most.

He didn't say they regressed. He said they quit. There's a major difference in those two. They consistently gave 100% effort.

Looch & co. already talking about 8-4 and "rebuild year" it's frustrating. They'll go on and on about elko and reed and how we are killing the portal - then predict the same old record.

If looch isn't predicting 10 - 2 or 11 - 1, then we are not meeting expectations.

Why does there have to be a " rebuilding year"?? Why doesn't recruiting and portal acquisitions have next year's team already "rebuilt"??!! Rebuilding year sounds like a "get ready to lose" excuse.

Agreed in today's football landscape every year is a rebuilding year because you will be losing and gaining a lot of new players each year. The programs that will win in this scenario will be the ones that find the right players that can come in an contribute immediately and not look for ones that need a few years to learn the system, etc.

I know people may disagree but, you may not be that far off. Historically we have rarely won 10+ games in a season and with the 9th conference game next year, a harder overall schedule, breaking in a new OC, etc. it does not set us up for a championship run.

In the era of the NIL and the portal, what you did more than a season ago means precisely dick.

We stand a pretty chance of buying a national championship in the next few years.

But I'm sad that it won't have nearly the meaning it would have had a few years ago.

I say 9-3. Hopefully we can make the playoffs with that record.

You realize with a 9th game at worst we would have won 10 games right?

Didn't we just prove that otherwise

Record starts over every year

Part of why "8-4 until proven otherwise" after an 11 win season is a stupid statement

Billy predicted 9-3 for this last season

He tends to be a little conservative when he predicts our records

This is what is frustrating. Our schedule last year was a cake walk. For a guy who has the most inside knowledge about the program & hypes it up all postseason - and then predicts we'll lose all the tough games on our schedule.

You can't hype us up as a national contender, and then predict we'll go 9 - 3. I'll say it again, if you're predicting more than 1 or 2 losses then there's a problem in recruiting or coaching. And it should be called out.

The last 2 seasons were our window. That is hands down the easiest most cake walk SEC schedule we have or will ever play. And we have almost nothing to show for it except a CFP berth in the expanded format.
We shat it straight down our leg in 24, and then let a painfully average Texas team ruin our season again in 25.

Quit, choke, panic, fail, collapse…. all fit the bill. Feel free to pursue the long list of words that adequately describes yet another A&M season that came up short. But keep your head up punkin' we have next year!!!

Dude, unless you're just blind, it's pretty easy to see that we had a good team. Maybe not winning the Natty good, but should have advanced further.
If we get better QB1 play vs t.u. and Miami, we beat em both. Not even asking for heroics, just asking to take what D's give, and complete the short/easy throws.
Even with the run D being suspect, but that's just misfits. We weren't getting blown off the ball.

We had a good team though. Can't deny that.
Let's build on it and keep progressing.

Were did I say we didn't have a good team?

We did. And then that good team choked. It happens in football. That it happens more in Aggieland compared to other big dollar programs is just us being Aggies I suppose.

SadlyIt's true. It was the easiest schedule since we've been in the SEC. i'm not saying this to be a downer. I don't think we can be an NC contender, until we're honest about where we are and what it takes to get from here to there.

Quit implies they gave up. Stopped playing. Like effort at the end of 77-0. They never quit. They played hard and lost a game. It happens.

You never played sports.

Let me guess you were the star of your junior high volleyball team? Impressive.

And I hate to cause you such angst in the middle of your cheerleading here by using such a mean spirited word as quit. I'll stick with simply saying they choked from here on out to spare your delicate emotional state.

The fact we made the playoffs is remarkable and a boost to recruiting. Sack up
