What a dumb ass take. That Miami game was one of the most physical games in the playoffs in both sides of the ball. We lost because of poor QB play/ and poor adjustment in play calling by the OC. That had zero to with the team "quitting"

Sophomore season was rough, playing for a ****ty team and running for his life most of the time.
Confidence drops. The game isn't fun anymore. Putting on a helmet, knowing you're about to take it in the teeth again. The team as a whole, just circling the drain.

Reed showed you what he looks like too, once he gets some pressure and forced to actually throw in tight windows under duress. Wasn't great. Hope he has a killer off-season though.

I listed a few names off the top of my head that a) I've actually watched play, and b) were highly sought after in the portal. I've been impressed by Leavitt ever since his first start at AzSt, and i think he's gonna kill it with Joey FreshSwampwater at LSU.

Just watching how we moved the ball on them (yes, I know, we didn't score) made me think that we were marginally the better team. The great equalizer was turnovers - our 3 way outpaced their 1 - and a critical injury that opened up the running game for the Canes at the wrong time in the game. I get that they missed 3 FGs - one was blocked, and one was clearly sent off course by the wind, I can't recall what caused the third to miss. But that's part of the game. Both teams had to play in that wind, and both saw problems with their games due to it - ours was more of an impact on the passing game, one of our kick attempts was so low coming off the kicker's foot that a bunch of Hobbits would have blocked it.

No, not head-and-shoulders better than the Canes that day, but I thought the Ags were the slightly better team on that field that day. I also could not help but notice how much better Miami looked against their next three opponents in terms of on-field stats as compared against our game.
