I hope all schools decide not to play tech in any sport, effectively giving their entire athletic department the death penalty

I know we give a lot of **** to other schools and conferences and rightfully so. But man, just for once, I want to see all these ADs come together as one and with one voice tell tceh to go **** themselves. In all sports.

I know this might seem a bit grandiose to say, but to me at least, this legitimately feels like a pivotal moment in college sports. Not with what just happened with the ruling, but in how the rest of us respond officially.

i think the best way to handle this is thru the committee.

If the NCAA is toothless, the opposite is true of the playoff committee, they hold all the keys. They have the ability to keep tech out of the playoffs.

I do wonder, where is the Big 12 brass in all this?

Playoff committee is spineless... don't expect them to take a stand for what's right

If the big 12 ADs band together & boycott **** school, it will force the conference to act

I saw something where every big 12 school is thinking about voting tech out of the Big 12. The only two that have not agreed are BYU and UCF. Who knows.

The Nebraska A.D. is on the playoff committee.

You guys understand the in state dynamics far better than I do, but it's just. Mind blowing to me how badly they have let their little brother system delude them into not seeing what this will do to them. Even if they cave now and do the right thing, the damage is done. They are a pariah, and a quick look at their MB shows that not one of them can even see it.

If they cave now, things will move on pretty quickly, but do you really think they're gonna cave?

Depends how bad things get, but not unless they absolutely have to.
And my guess is that one voice really matters, Cody's. As long as he says "fight", they will. But at some point, if all these threats come to pass, they are going to get backed into an awful corner. Their biggest most important alum vs. the long term well being of the school. Heck, they may be there now.

Be nice if this is what crashes the whole sham that is NIL and transfer portal.

Go back to paying players under the table and reign in the portal.

tech is taking a big risk with every game they allow him to play, extremely high likelihood they will have to vacate all those wins.

I havent kept up w them, is there just no one else that can step in and play?

They are playing with fire with any game he plays in

It's a bad day for college football. First NIL and now Liberal judges are now in charge of the league.
BTW, it's ridiculous to think any team will refuse to play them. Sounds good but no school has the guts. Too much money to lose.

The NCAA needs to appeal this to Amarillo. I bet they will vacate the injunction. If that hasn't already happened, it needs to ASAP.

I've read a couple opinions about the appeal process. They all agreed the process will take time. The season will most likely end before the appeal is heard. If this happens, the appeal will be dropped.

Why would they not refuse it? Its one school. There are hundreds to play.

Techs biggest non conference is Arkansas in 2030 ( Jerrah must have set up, with his plethora of football good choices) and at Oregon State next year. A team that has no conference.

Lol. No. Injunctive relief is appealable on an interlocutory basis, and those appeals usually take a week or two. I have had many. If they appeal it, Amarillo will issue a decision before the season starts, easily.

Just saw a segment where the George A.D. said he's gonna get all the other A.D.'s to go and sign something to go along with the NCAA new appeal that everyone in college football is behind the NCAA that Sorsby should not play.

Perhaps so. But there are occasions when a case is deemed "not moot" and is actually heard, especially when there is a high probability that there will be similar or same cases prospectively brought in the courts in the future. Example: Roe v. Wade, a case heard after Norma Jean McCorvey had the child she was attempting to abort.

If scumbag harbaugh can get off Scott free for having a minion spy on opponents on a championship run year, I can see a scumbag judge granting an injunction to allow sorsby to draw this out so he can play.

If there is money to be made here, sorsby will play somehow. If tech's sugar daddy has no friends or cachet that matter, he won't play.

You can always count on tech to embarrass itself for sure.
Sadly, if tech wins the big 12 Scumbag Sorsby would probably get to play in the playoffs because it would be such a debacle the likes of which we have never seen.

The greedy overlords at espn would love to have guaranteed hate watching they can use to sell you sugar drinks, unnecessary medicine, heart clog food, crappy foreign cars and legalized fintech schemes.

Having the playoff committee decide which teams have eligible players and which don't sounds like one of the worst ideas ever for college football playoff!! These people can barely figure out who the top 4 teams are!

You want to trust this morons with determining eligibility?

This court needs to be put in check immediately. Appeal forthcoming!

i hope like hell playoff committee leaves them out - either Tech gets left out or they sue and committee has to go through full disclosure in their selection process and they get exposed. We would all win either way

The NCAA has already made the decision, the CFP Committee can just enforce that.

This decision by the court is the beginning of the real end to the ncaa but hopefully a big boost to actual regulation by our Government, hate to say it but college presidents, college AD, conference commissioners have failed miserably at regulating college football. Its clear to me the amount of money involved makes it impossible for commish, ad, Presidents to do the right thing.

what could they have done better?

any time they try to do something or enforce any rule, a court slaps them down.

What is surprising is tech still wants him to be their qb1. The dude is not someone who can be counted on. The game is just a bet to him.
