All that was granted was a temporary injunction for a case that is scheduled to be tried in February. Sorsby will drop the case in late January. You can't appeal a court case that was never tried in the first place.

Not a lawyer, but I see as much rationale for the Big 12 to sue Texas Tech. If Sorsby plays even a single game, there's reputational damage to the league and member schools, not to mention if Tech goes on to earn a Big 12 playoff spot with Sorsby as the QB.

I don't get why Tech is doing this. Sorsby is good, but hardly a surefire prospect. For $5 million, they can poach someone just as good without the baggage.

I'm just glad that integrity has been restored to college football. Now we know it's just young men playing for the school they've probably dreamt about since they first played Pop Warner. And they're happy to don the jersey of (insert team here) and get an education!
